NEW YORK Just days after its release, Bob Woodward's "State of Denial" has already gone into its third printing, with 900,000 copies in print for the latest, and harshest, chronicle of the Bush administration by the celebrated Washington Post reporter.
Is bob a credible journalist or just another shill making $$$?
I've mixed feelings.
Makes me want to look up Carl Bernstein..

Probably depends on the accuracy of his data.
I guess we all hope to make dollars.
How is he a shill, btw? (I looked it up and it seems to have a very specific meaning......)
shill is not a good word, I should not have used it.
I've not read any of his books yet. However, given that he was praised by the administration for his last one, and then this one comes out saying negative things about the administration.... Sounds like making money based on the current flow of American opinion to me.
Why couldn't he have revealed any of this with his last book when he had interviewed the president, vice president, etc.
Had he done so, maybe things would be different now.
I read the first one -- can't remember what it was called, path to war or something like that. I didn't think it made the president look very good so I was surprised that they talked to him and that they approved of the book. Still, I can see how he might write one or two fluff books to get better access in the white house and the make the third a bit tougher.
In other words, no idea.
