Late to this thread, but deeply concerned... I'm off to ship a few cases of "elixir" to Droitwich. I pray it arrives in time.

You must get well, Ellpus... You simply must.

Hope it isn't priapism. My ex had that. I was totally exhausted looking after him, day in, day out, day in, day out..... I've never known such hard work. Rolling Eyes

I wish Ellpus well.

He is always good-humored, entertaining, and interesting: never mean-spirited.

Get well : Come back !

Just had word...

He's on the mend! Very Happy

They managed to sugically remove the spatula, using the latest techniques!

Apparantly, it had by-passed most major organs. Though it's too soon to tell if his fertility has been affected. But given the location of the spatula... I weep for him, I really do!

Seriously though - it's good new, he may even post tomorrow!

Sarah

Funny story that my sister told me. Some very heavy lady was having an examination concerning the same problems that Lord Ellpus is having. The surgeon noticed a fistula and asked her if she had been having any problems concerning it.

She replied: Oh, yes, doctor. It's a real problem. When I break wind it just whistles.

The very droll surgeon replied: Hmmm. Bet you are the only woman in the world who can whistle two tunes at once. Razz

It wasn't the spatula, per se, but rather the remnants of old-fashioned English food (for what else would the Lord eat?) on the spatula. This stuff can barely be tolerated when it is confined within the gastrointestinal tract. When it finds its way into a body cavity, it is a medical emergency of the first order.

Thanks again, smorgs.

Is spatula a colloquialism for gerbil?

Anyway, the important point is that Ellpus is better!
