Next on your tv's and in the media....

"Pay no attention to these foolish rumours.... remember this... Bin Laden will not be dead until we kill him and only the republicans have the stones to do it... not the democrats. Please write this on an index card and take it to the voting booth with you."

This index card will replace the previous one about the Iraq war being a failure. Pleaee discard and forget that one"

Don't ya just want to slap these news divisions around? They just soak it up, and repeat, repeat, repeat.

Meanwhile (of course) the NIE report, Iraq, etc

I'm getting too old and tired, cynical and disapointed to slap anyone. I'm conserving my energies so I can devote them to putting my last cubs through college and then hopefully I will pass away from something fast and acute so I don't have to see anymore.

You may or may not notice that I don't post as much as I used to. It's like expending energy to put out the sun by urinating on it.

Since the French, who supposedely leaked the story, also cant confirm if its true or not, isnt it prudent to say he isnt dead until its confirmed that he is?

If the govt says he is dead, and it turns out he isnt, wont you then complain about how they believed false intelligence again?

Exactly what would you have the govt do about the report?

Previously, I had thought the righties didn't have such a problem with acting on dubious, unconfirmed information....

It doesn't really matter whether he's dead or not. He has been replaced by dozens of raving mad terrorists who act on their own.
.
After Saddam's capture there were some people who imagined a peaceful Iraq democracy.

So let me see if I have this right.

By not acting on the supposed intelligence,Bush is wrong.

If he acts on the supposed intelligence,he is wrong.

That makes it apparent to me that you folks really dont care what he does,he will be wrong no mater what.

Is this a bald-faced lie or simply delusion, MM? Bush and the neo-cons distorted the evidence to give them cover to engage in an illegal invasion of a sovereign country. They lied, they connived, they failed to listen to the experts who warned them.

How you are able to push the truth so far out of your consciousness is truly a 'mystery'.

No. What I don't like is this flip-flopping.

Global Warming: "We have to wait. Too much contradicting information. You can't act on assumptions."

Saddam Hussein: "We have to act now! It's an imminent threat to America and the world!"

Osama: "We have to wait. Too much contradicting information. You can't act on assumptions."

Well, at least we now have an accounting of the smell of these times.
