I thought I had woken up in Russia last Friday when Bush gave his speach about how torture is a good thing. This is something I never thought I'd ever see. An American president publicly promoting torture. I had read all about the torture memos and I knew that Bush was a sicko that liked to torture people but I never expected him to publicly admit it. He should have been arrested on the spot for violating the constitution and the geneva convention. This only adds yet another crime to the long list of crimes he has commited. I don't understand why the american people put up with this.

Not really, he just happens to not be the brightest bulb on the tree who has father issues and a fragile sense of reality.

maybe so but he's the first president to openly endorse torture. That has never happened before. Sure we've had presidents that tortureed people but they did it quietly. Bush just comes out and admits it. What's he going to do next? Admit he carried out 9/11.
Bushie wants the American people through their elected representatives to ok torture. That too has never happened.

Torture? what he wants is hardly that. Calling that torture would be like calling a cold cancer.
And brilliant, don't forget brilliant. I mean, anyone that could pull off that whole 911 thing... There should be a Nobel Prize for that kind of brilliance.
Chavez: 'El diablo' Bush came to the UN yesterday
RAW STORY
Published: Wednesday September 20, 2006
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez blasted President Bush as "el diablo" on the floor of the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, and suggested that the U.S. president should seek psychiatric help.
"The devil came here yesterday," Chavez said. "He came here talking as if he were the owner of the world."
"We need a psychologist to analyze Bush," said Chavez.
