I think it would be nice to honor the artistic endeavors of the little tykes, they are so proud of their work.
This one is my first birthday card this year, from my four year old grandson, Austin.
Hey, I like that, edgar!
Pretty advanced for a 4 year old! :
I predict an artistic future for Austin.
Edgar--
Happy birthday, man of a dynasty.
Thanks. I'll be 64 on Sunday, the 17th. Hope somebody will still need me and still feed me.
It's your birthday today, edgar?
If not, when?
I will have a beer in your honor, edgar.
Any particular brand you would like me to hoist? Lone Star?
Masterful! Blue and yellow framed in purple.....Magnificent!
When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a Valentine, birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I'd been out 'till quarter to three, would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?
Hmm------mmm---mmmh.
You'll be older, too. Aaah, and if you say the word, I could stay with you.
I could be handy, mending a fuse, when your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside, sunday mornings, go for a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds, who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?
Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wightif it's not too dear. We shall scrimp and save.
Ah, grandchildren on your knee, Vera, Chuck, and Dave.
Send me a postcard, drop me a line stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say, yours sincerely wasting away.
Give me your answer, fill in a form, mine forever more.
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?
Absolutely Edgar, Happy B-Day and wonderful drawing by your grandson.
Lone Star, first beer I ever had my very own complete bottle of, at age 17. The one I still drink, all kidding aside.
I'm not quite seeing the subject matter here. Those appear to be boots and legs, but what the hell is going on above?
Is that a suicide bomber?

Never actually had a Lone Star beer, but I understand it rivals such northern masterpieces as Cold Spring and Pffeifers.
Edgar--
64?
Except for your accumulated wisdom, you're a mere child.
This is a self portrait by Austin. Note, he had the option of coloring his sister, Joey, but abstained.
Thank you, sublime and noddy. Gus, that's some sort of Pokemon picture he colored.
Many know of the wonder that is Lone Star beer, that's why few drink it.
Here is Austin being original. I haven't a clue what it is supposed to be.
fish moving upstream?
Great stuff.
Happy birthday in advance, EdgarBlythe
Beth sees a fish moving upstream while I see the gates of hell closing on a tortured soul while a single black rose mysteriously graces the foreground. What is the significance of the rose?
The blackness would indicate death here but eternal suffering elsewhere, I would think.
I really like this particular sketch, edgar. Tell your grandson he did an exceptional job.
Thank you, ebeth. I sort of think they may be people in that last pic.
