Din dins in Covent Garden. Dinner at Greggs.

No wonder you're all in debt.

Anyway- thanks for the interest. Every little helps. The sooner we get back to 10% the better. I hope the staff didn't piss in the soup.

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor ( I bet he's a Mick) the leader of England's Roman Catholics, made a suggestion yesterday that Turkey should be barred from joining the European Union.

Europe is a Christian continent which may have no place for Turkish Muslims, said Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Conner. Adding that the mixture of cultures is not a good idea.

Turkey commenced formal negotiations to join the EU last year and may be allowed to join by 2015. Britain has long pressed for Turkish membership to tie the secular, modernist state to the West and to cement its role as a barrier against Islamic extremism. France, Germany, and Austria are deeply opposed to its entry.

Following the Papal speech, are we to consider that the Roman Catholic Church is saying, look lads, let us handle this little lot, we are in need of a good revival?

Your right about the lunches Spendi, their pockets will be empty.
Two drumsticks, a stick of celery a large juicy peach and a bottle of corporation tap water for my din dins break and that was on a grassy knoll.

Oh, hark the Lotus Eater...

I'm at home today, usually I make my lunch for work, you know, tofu, sesame seed pie, small piece of carob cake...

But today I am having a vegetable pasty and a cherry bakewell (I'm dieting)

My body is a Temple!

I'm not too sure about that, I rather think it takes us back to the days of basic hunting with rocks and sticks, having seen your co-hunters savaged by the beasts and standing your ground against a sabre toothed tiger must have been something very special.

I quite like the feeling, cortisone is purely an adrenal gland hormone, don't you ladies use it to keep your wrinkles at bay.

There's a flash clinic in Bowdon, specialises in that sort of treatment.

You can go in there looking like a witch and come out like a fairy princess. According to Lulu you can anyhow.

Have you ever had beauty enhancement treatment smorgs?

You must be somewhat older than you come across as. Trust your coping well.

I have mentioned the make overs to a lot of women in the course of conversation over the years.

I know a few who go for the botox injections quite regularly and one lady who following a divorce in her 50's (hubby went off with a younger model) had a face lift with a few trimmings. It set her back about £12K.

I must say the improvements were quite dramatic. I could have fancied her myself.

A few years ago at the gym, I always go for a sauna and steam then a swim after a work out. There was a lady who I simply passed the time of day with in the jacuzzi or steam room etc. I hadn't seen her for about 3 months. She came in the steam room and obviously both of us wearing swim wear I couldn't help but notice these enormous breasts, which she never had before. She smiled and said 'Well, what do you think?"

I was taken aback to be honest (for 2 seconds anyhow) I said have you had a boob job, to which she pulled down the front of her cosi and said, "You bet, what do you think?"

They looked bloody marvellous, and I told her so.

Depends how you look at these things doesn't it

I think I look perfectly acceptable as I am!

I've always taken care of my skin, never had a tan (but I do fake it)

I'm a bit of a pink-chubby as spendy would say, but I am within my bmi.

Do you think I need it?

have you had any?

I don't think you need it, purely because you told me you 'think you look perfectly acceptable as you are'

I haven't had any either, however, I have to admit to being a vain sod and I do my best to keep my appearance as good as possible. If, and I have thought this to myself, if I thought in the future that a face lift would help me stay looking good for a few more years, I could possibly see myself going for it. However, we all change our minds over things like this, so I am not saying it with a 100% conviction.

I am lucky in having good skin, I tan in the sun as often as possible as well. I have very few wrinkles and my physique is as good as most blokes in their 30's, (better than most). I did read years ago that washing your face in cold water is good for the complexion, I have done that ever since and I also fill the sink with cold water and keep my face in as long as I can virtually every night, I think this helps.
