I live at the foot of Victorias premier ski resort. and yes we DO have drought and fires. The fires cover about 750,000 hectares of my backyard. Thats smoke in the picture.

Poo-ee, dadpad, sympathies. Words are inadequate.

We get floods sometimes, but no fires. Floods are bad enough in their way, but fires are worse.

Are you at risk there, Dadpad?


My sis says they're even having some massive fires in Tas. I thought that it was only the Oz mainland that was getting them.

Slightly at risk now although I suspect that when the fires burn out of the hills/forest country it will be much easier to attack.

Montana. we have Canadian erricson aircrane pilots stationed here. They have been absolutly tireless.

Tassie fires have been very damaging property wise destroying many homes.
