Imagine if your mother never met your father?

I'm pretty sure that if I were making policy for Iran, I would close down my nuclear weapons research and invite the whole world to verify it. I would renounce terrorist violence, and refuse sanctuary to any person or organization advocating terrorism. I would spend more money to improve the living conditions of my People, and focus on rejoining the world's economic community. My government policy be to return Islamic scholarship and study of the natural world to the pre-eminence it had 700 years ago. Islam would remain the favored religion, but no one sect would be permitted to dominate the others. I would end censorship, and institute a program to extend full citizenship to all adults within the realm.

Now if Iran's current government were to be in control of the United States, what could we expect.

The Constitution would be scrapped as antithetical to the rule of God. The judicial system would be replaced by Shaira Law. Anyone violating the religious injunctions of the Koran would be mercilessly punished. Public execution of sentences would be carried on television. Speaking of which, television would consist of only one channel that would be carefully censored with all programs conforming to Islamic Law, and in support of the government's policies. Most advertising would be prohibited, and no depiction of humans or animals would be permitted. Films would be required to be moral and conform to all Islamic Laws.

Women would no longer be permitted to vote, or make any public demonstrations. Women appearing in public would be required to wear modest clothing that would not reveal their bodies, faces or hair. Women would not be permitted to work outside their homes, where they would be under the strict control of their husbands and sons. Women would no longer be educated beyond elementary reading, writing and doing simple sums. Women would not be permitted to drive any vehicle. Women who disobey their husbands, or who object to second or third wives could be divorced by a simple declaration of their husbands.

Other religions might be tolerated, so long as they be practiced in private and refrain from any missionary activity. Non-Muslims would not be permitted to vote, or hold any public office. The Non-Muslim population would be required register with the government and conform to all Islamic Laws in public. Any Muslim who converted would be stoned to death on national television. All non-Muslim churches would be converted to Masques, and religious symbols, such as the Cross, Star of David, or the Eight-Spoked Wheel would be banned.

Every citizen would have a positive duty to inform authorities of any suspicious activity that might not conform to Islamic Law. If a criminal is convicted for any crime, his family and neighbors must share the punishment for failing to report the criminal.

All secular schools would be shut down, and replaced by Islamic schools where the curriculum is approved by the government. All teachers must be certified Islamic scholars before instructing any child, or adult. No university courses would be permitted that might lead to questioning the Islamic foundations of the State. Only those student organizations sanctioned by the governing Islamic council would be permitted.

The government policy would be to extend the most radical and reactionary form of Islam to all other countries. Only trade with Islamic, or government approved countries would be permitted. No foreign aid would be extended only to other Islamic States, or to organizations working to convert infidels to Islam by whatever means. The military might and resources of the nation would have only two purposes: Extend Islam to every other nation on earth, and to destroy any military power that might resist the inevitable adoption of radical Islamic government. Any tactic nor strategy to achieve that end is acceptable. The government would be under no obligation to be truthful or faithful to any agreement with infidels. No treaty with infidels would be binding. Some infidel governments and nations would have to be totally destroyed to purify the world. Foremost among such would be Israel.
