@Walter Hinteler,
Wearing pink shorts in front of Her Maj would make her come over all unneccesary.

Hence the dress code.

Personally I would prefer a plate of these any day......

@ossobuco,
Duck with orange?

Turkey with cranberry?

Pork with apple?

(Bangers over here)

A song for you about Italian food, Oss.

Regarding the tennis, normal service (scuse the pun) will resume shortly.

@Lordyaswas,
Ah, tradition. The only one of those I've tried is turkey with cranberries, which, I don't particularly like, even the turkey, much less the cranberries. <frowns>

Back on tennis, I read up on Federer this morning. I hand realized he's been through so many back injuries. He's such a fluid player even now.

@ossobuco,
Good article - and it mentions the shorts:

Did you see her? It is pretty hard to believe that she looks like that without taking stuff that should be illegal in tennis.

The side effects of steroids on women are pretty well known and understood. They typically include loss of fat in the breasts and thighs, lowering of voice, etc. So when you say "did you see her" my question back is did you? Serena has more curves than the rest of the WTA combined. Want to see the poster look for women tennis players on steroids (not saying on steroids, just has the look), look up Sam Stosur.

Sabine Lisicki set a world record for aces in a women's singles match by firing 27 in her second-round win over Belinda Bencic at the Aegon Classic (Birmingham/UK). The 2013 Wimbledon finalist hit 16 in the first set and 11 in the second.

@Walter Hinteler,
Just watching Federer's 130th (!) ATP-final ... on tv. (In Halle, now part of the 500-tour, versus Seppi)

@Walter Hinteler,
C'mon, Federer!!

"Third set: Querrey* 2-3 Federer (sets 0-2) Querrey positively romps through his service game to stay in touch with his oppressor. That’ll make the big man feel better."

@ossobuco,
I'm liking the Nadal-Brown match. Confused on who I want to win. Brown, I think, much as I like Nadal.

@ossobuco,
Aha, Brown won. (Guardian reporter slightly slower than a tv, your showing the score didn't register for me right away, being busy looking at three screens).

@ossobuco,
Latest Guardian comment, which I agree with -

"As wonderful as it was to watch Brown play like that, it was sad to see Nadal look so subdued and short of confidence. What now for Nadal? It’s hard to see him turn around his season on the US hard courts, given the problems he’s had on the surface in recent years because of his knees."
