@Walter Hinteler,
Wow, first round loss for Nadal, in straight sets. I can't decide if that is bigger than Serena's French loss last year or not, but definitly a shocker. Murray and Federer are smiling as that killer bottom half of the draw opens up a little. At least we're back to talking tennis instead of catfight.

Aaaaack, I hadn't read this yet.
Yeah, beats the cat fight.

<have to go read up now>

@ossobuco,
Double aaack, I was looking at the piece in Huffpo re Nadal, and a minute into reading, I get a lovely voiced brit woman talking about Walender 'tightrope' walking in the Grand Canyon.

That still happening on your computer, engineer?

@ossobuco,
Only on my W8 machine at home. My work computer is fine. I haven't gone to Huff Post on my W7 machines at home, so I guess I can't say about those.

Currently watching Hewitt v Brown.

Who?.....exactly. Cool looking guy with dreadlocks, ranked just above 200th in the world, and he's just taken the first set.

He's producing some of the best athletic tennis I've seen in a long time!

@Lordyaswas,
Some Germans are quite good in tennis (2nd set is interesting, too)

Steve Darcis has just withdrawn from the tournament, with shoulder injury.

I wish Nadal had gone through now......

@Walter Hinteler,
I really hope he does it.

Underdog syndrome, I suppose.

Plus the fact it would be nice to see a German win wimbledon for a change.

Indeed, all the Scottish English Welsh Non-British dominance ... (Brown was born in the British Zone, and holds a Commonwealth passport, too.)

@Walter Hinteler,
I just knew deep down that he was a Brit!

@ossobuco,
Yep, he won but I now realise that he's not a Brit, as he started blubbling.

Bloody good player though, despite the emotional stuff.

@ossobuco,
Got to watch some games yesterday at lunch. Robson has some serious game. Very nice win for the English #1 against #10 seed Kirilenko. I thought Mattek-Sands was outplaying Kerber but ended up hitting error after error on easy put-aways. Ferrer looked really good in his win.

Anyone following Puerto Rican Monica Puig? Just made it to round three.

Isner and Azarenka dropped due to injuries today. On the woman's side, we might as well just schedule another Williams-Sharapova final now.

@engineer,
Does Monica Puig happen to shriek? I have this bias..
