On a serious note, Chirac is mired in past corruption scandals, but you didnt need to be corrupt to be against the war -- and I dont think its why Chirac was against it either. Not the
primary reason, anyway.
(And this "likely" stuff sounds a bit too much like "Bush likely gets off on hitting midget ho's" to me - like, as long as you stick "likely" in there you dont have to worry about shreds of evidence?)
Face it. Sometimes, sly old corrupt foxes can foresee things that boneheaded arrogant ideologists cant. Credit to Chirac to have shown common sense on this count, when Bush and Blair were being high smoking their remake-the-world power trip.
