My husband and I have a 3 year old son. Both I and my husband come from different countries. But he speaks russian. So we speak russian at home and to our son. Our son learned to speak English in a daycare center. Its best to start teaching them languages early when they absorb everything like a sponge. Our son is doing just fine. Understands and speaks both Russian and English. I intentionally do not speak english to him at home and insist on speaking russian . It will be to his benefit when he grows up and learning is effortless for him .
