Coloring my hair for the first time

I had a whim the other day ... it took 3 days to complete what I was after, but I'm giddy with colour now!

I bought one of the hi-liting kits for curly/wavy hair. Used that on Thursday night. My hair was a bit bright white and yellow with stripes for two days. Today I hauled out one box of dark copper blonde and one box of medium auburn hair colour (Feria of course). Put the top layer of my hair up - applied the medium auburn to the bottom layer, then let out the top and applied the dark copper blonde.

The whole effect is pretty Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Should be perfect around Wednesday. I am verra verra happy.

Who needs natural? pffft, it's for the birds.

I'm going to dry and get it 'ironed' a bit on Tuesday - then haul out the camera.

Hair coloring is a wonderful thing. And I am partial to red.
(I am overdue....appt. on Wed.)

I call it my tribute to autumn.

I tried to straighten it myself, but I think I'd run out of hair mojo by that point. If I work it right, there will be a trim/thin and some flat iron work on Tuesday.

Now where is makemeshivers when I need her? (finding her and this thread was a bit of an adventure - turns out tags help, so it's tagged now)

I saw an old man at a supermarket the other day with this full, thick head of dark hair. It didn't take me long to realize the hair was fake. A white wig would have suited him better.
