just my observation but it seems that the Bush admin is the one that avoids the issue of Saudi responsibility.
It's OK Sofia. Point is, however, concerning your question: first of all I do not think the general attitude among liberals (or, as I prefer, socialists, because the term "liberal" in the Netherlands is used for the right wing, though that is not the case in America) is one of "playing dumb". It is known by a lot of socialists/liberals that Saudi's play a role in world terrorism. Point is, as dyslexia pointed out, that a lot of liberals are - to say at least - annoyed by the way the Bush administration is handling the situation: no strong words (it seems). On the other hand, I do have to confess that personally I do think some liberals are hypocrites; they fuel their criticism not on the situation, but they are fueled by anti-Americanism. That is a sad trend. Now point is: what will be the influence of strong steps against Saudi Arabia?
This makes me want to see the world through someone else's eyes. I'm American, and I know I have cultural blinders on. I appreciate everyone's perspective on things like this.
So do I. Thanks, Rick.
dys-- I don't think any US administration has told the truth TO Saudi, or ABOUT them.
I'm annoyed....by myself. Too many English spelling mistakes.
