Tho I have to make it a life plan, not just a diet.If I stick to fresh food all the time(which we should do)and avoid processed food, it will do me good, not have an apple and only half a donut.

YES! That's it!

To lose weight, you must make a lifestyle change. Not just a diet.

And trust me, there are good tasting foods out there. I am a junk food junkie. I love sweets. But once you stope eating them all the time, you don't crave them as much. Seriously. I think some people get a sugar addiction....

Have to admit ive eaten crsips and chocolate twice this week and Ive not enjoyed it.

But I think that may be the weather, sticky chocolate on a hot day, blurgh, I hope it carries on theo.
ALos Im loving the cherries I eat as a snack instead of the junk food.Tho chereies are quite expensive, it puts me off buying them.Apples just make me hungrier.

I need to learn to cook proper food that fills me up.

depends on the cereal, what type of milk, and the soup you ate.

You will become an expert label reader by the time this is over.

Ok, here....this helps you estimate the number of calories your body needs every day to function, if you want to stay at a current weight.

For sedentary people: Weight x 14 = estimated cal/day

For moderately active people: Weight x 17 = estimated cal/day

For active people: Weight x 20 = estimated cal/day

It takes 3,500 calories to lose a pound. So if you want to lose 2 pounds per week, you'd have to consume 7,000 less calories (or burn them).

Take me:

140 x 17 = 2380 cal/day (WOW)
7 days in a week SO -- 2370*7 = 16,590 cal/ week
I want to lose 2 pounds per week so I need to cut 7,000 -- 16,590 - 7000 = 9,590 cals/ week
7 days in a week SO -- 9,590/7 = 1370 cal/ day to lose 2 lbs per week

Does that make sense?

You can use that as a base to start. If you don't lose weight with it, you can decrease the number of calories by 100 and try again. Keep doing that until you find a successful number.

Then, plan out your day ahead of time. Meaning, decide how many calories you are going to allow yourself for breakfast, lunch, etc... that way when the time to eat comes around, you have less to think about.

You just focus in on your number and eat whatever you want, provided it's within range.

Oh and switch to whole grains. Whole wheat bread, pasta, buns, etc... while it has the same caloric content as regular white bread and pasta, it also contains fiber and more nutrients (they haven't been stripped out as they are in white counterparts)

Eating to make your body work better will also help you lose the weight!

Im not as peed of about this as i was yesterday but feel I need to share it.

First of all Im lactose intolerant.

My parents were making dinner for me yesterday.
I saw some things in a tray which looked like they may be bad for me to eat(lactose wise)so I asked mum what tehy were, she said fish, which is ok.

I was called into get my dinner, saw something leaking on the plate which looked cheesy, I went to the bin to look at the packaging and it turned out to be a ham and cheese product!!!!
So Id asked if it was ok for me to eat, waited for the food to be cooked and still it wasnt edible.
Have to admit I didnt hide my annoyance(mostly because i was hungry adn I was looking forward to the fish)
I managed to russle up a meal but my parents continuously apologised.

I know they are getting old and are allowed to forget stuff but youd think after 6 years of knowing I cant do dairy it would sink in.
My dad constantly asks me if I want a yoghurt!!!

Have you eaten sensibly today then? Cos I find that boredom and healthy eating just don't go together.
