NUEVA YORK.?-Aunque usted no lo crea, como diría el Ripley de la famosa publicación periodística, el señor Hamlet Hermann, ideólogo marxista dominicano de nombre teutónico, ha vuelto a la carga, como es ya habitual en él, contra los Estados Unidos, Israel, y las agencias internacionales de prensa.
Al enfilar sus cañones contra los que percibe formidables adversarios suyo o de su desfasada ideología, el señor Hermann nos pone en autos de la gran verdad por él descubierta -algo así como que los chinos inventaron la pólvora--: que en el milenario bochinche de los terrícolas "[la norma es que] siempre hay un agresor y un agredido" y, más revelador aun, que de tanto saberlo eso lo tiene olvidado "[por lo menos] todo aquel que tenga dos dedos de frente"(sic).
Como fácilmente recordará el habitual lector de este espacio periodístico, hace sólo unos días que comentaba yo en mi artículo "Leyendas ?'nibelungas' del Caribe" la patética afirmación del señor Hermann, de que "día tras día las páginas de los principales periódicos de Estados Unidos presentan casos de masivos crímenes cometidos por los ?'marines' estadounidenses contra niños, mujeres y ancianos".
Recordará también el lector que poco después, se comentaba aquí la igualmente solemne confesión del señor Hermann, de que, y no obstante lo dicho, "a duras penas" había encontrado en los medios de comunicación de Estados Unidos "una descripción detallada de los bombardeos y agresiones armadas a la que somete actualmente el gobierno de Israel a los palestinos", y cómo indignado se preguntaba: "¿Cuál de las agencias norteamericanas de prensa ha dicho que durante un mes los israelíes asesinaron a 52 civiles y no combatientes, entre ellos nueve niños y varios ancianos?"
¿Quién podría imaginar --el lector, y con mucho más razón quien ahora pergeña estas parrafadas electrónicas, inclusive--, que mediando sólo unos pocos días entre las dos últimas afirmaciones del señor Hermann, a este beatífico espíritu marxiano se le ocurriría -porque ciertamente se trata de una vulgar ocurrencia-- afirmar que las mismas agencias internacionales de prensa cuya falta de objetividad y ética profesional de ordinario denuncia y condena, despliegan ahora informaciones de "los interminables bombardeos de los israelíes contra el pueblo palestino en la franja de Gaza y Líbano", si bien con el único e inicuo propósito de "justificarlos"?
No es eso todo. No conforme con tales sandeces, y como si con ellas no bastara para ofender y aun irritar al más moderado y ecuánime de los mortales, el mismo señor Hermann del cuento bien contado agrega a su perorata de barrio: "La matanza (de niños, mujeres y ancianos del indefenso pueblo palestino) parece que nunca acabará debido a que, dicen los israelíes, desde el Líbano se les han lanzado unos cuantos cohetes".
Como quien dice para rematar tanta estupidez, el bueno del señor Hermann añade insulto a la infamia diciendo que "nadie en su sano juicio -evidentemente el hombre sabe de vicio de qué habla-- debía siquiera pensar que los agresores (israelíes) son las víctimas de reiteradas ocupaciones de (los) ...territorios" palestinos, pues "la prestidigitación mediática no es tan hábil ni creíble para ocultar la verdad. Israel arremete y los palestinos y libaneses son las víctimas de un genocidio".
¡Quién lo diría!...¿Cómo puede este hombre, después de acusar a la prensa norteamericana y a las agencias internacionales de prensa de prejuicio e indiferencia en perjuicio de los en su fértil imaginación concibe "víctimas" de las agresiones armadas de Israel y del "imperialismo yanqui"; cómo puede, digo, salir ahora con la desfachatez de que las informaciones "finalmente provistas" al público por esos medios periodísticos no tienen otro objeto que "justificar" las agresiones de los "victimarios"?
No quisiera terminar este impertinente y fastidioso comentario sin referirme a la graciosa afirmación del señor Hermann, de que Israel dizque justifica su "agresión armada" contra palestinos y libaneses en el lanzamiento de "unos cuantos cohetes" de estos últimos contra la población israelí en Haifa y el Alto Nazaret.
Como podría saberlo cualquier habitual lector de diarios, radioyente o televidente, el número de cohetes (ahora de mucho más largo radio o alcance) lanzados en los últimos tres días por los aguerridos marchantes de Hezbolá contra las poblaciones israelíes de Haifa y Alto Nazaret, pasan ya de 300. Y conste, que según los muy eficientes servicios de inteligencia de Israel, la organización terrorista tiene en sus polvorines más de diez mil cohetes "made in China" que fueran vendidos o regalados a Siria e Irán.
Por lo cual, y el lector no me recusará, lo menos que podría decirse del señor Hermann es que si tiene, como él mismo pretende, "por lo menos dos dedos de frente", su habilidad con los números está muy lejos de ser "su fuerte". ¿O sí?

Is not that all. These computer based translations always crack me up. I have never heard of members of Hizbolla being referred to as "battle hardened art dealers".
Shark, why did you post that here? I certainly don't object to articles in Spanish... but this particular one is just an attack on someones character-- very similar to a Rush Limbaugh rant.
This might be a bit interesting if any of us had ever heard of Mr. Hermann. But I suspect this article has a very local relevance to the Carribean.
