Sooner or later all the lies will be exposed and the people will hear the truth. Only the hard core fanatics will still believe the lies and fabrications. Powell will be just another mouth piece like all the others.

Iraq weapons labs claim a fabrication, says former CIA officer

Claims by the Bush administration that faulty intelligence and CIA failings led to the conclusion Iraq had WMDS took a beating on the weekend.

In an article published by The Washington Post a former senior CIA officer said administration officials, including the president and secretary of state, used information that was considered by the agency as defective.

The officer, Tyler Drumheller, a long-standing senior officer, said he took his concerns about certain findings to the CIA deputy director, John McLaughlin, and even questioned CIA director George Tenet about the same concerns on the eve of Secretary of State Colin Powell's address to the UN Security Council in February 2003.

According to The Washington Post article, written by Joby Warrick with the assistance of staff researcher Alice Crites, in late January 2003, as Secretary of State Colin Powell was preparing to argue the administration's case against Iraq at the UN, Drumheller sat down with a classified draft of Powell's speech to look for errors. He found a whopper: a claim about mobile biological labs built by Iraq for germ warfare.

Drumheller instantly recognized the source, an Iraqi defector suspected of being mentally unstable and a liar. The CIA officer took his pen, he recounted in an interview, and crossed out the whole paragraph.

A few days later, the lines were back in the speech. Powell stood before the UN Security Council on Feb. 5 and said: "We have first-hand descriptions of biological weapons factories on wheels and on rails."

The sentence took Drumheller completely by surprise, says The Washington Post article.
