what's the difference between people in east and west of america? i wonder why? because i have male friends from west and east. and whenever i'm with the 'east' guy, he'll say something about the west or vice versa.
It's a very complicated question because there are too many people, in both the east and the west, to make simple comparisons. Whatever one says, there will always be an exception somewhere. There are many differences between east and west, but there are also many similarities. There are also many differences between people in the west alone, and between people in the east alone.
However, if you'd like to start a conversation, feel free. Maybe you can start by telling us some of the things your friends say about east and west, and we can see what we think of them.
The people on the east coast are much smarter.
I'm from New England. Everything west of the Hudson is just a rumor.

I heard that's where everyone looks like a very wrinkled prune.

Yes, and the farther east they are, the smarter ;-)
Yes, they're smarter than your average moose.

When they hit the ocean and jump in during the dead of winter, we know how really smart they are.

Men from the East never wear underwear, that's one major difference.

the guy from the east i know is smarter than the guy from the west i know... maybe this has something to do with east and west
I'm from the center. We produce neat presidents and drive Hummers with cows horns mounted on the hood.
this is what they tell me
'east' guy- men from the west are 'players' especially in california.
for californians out there, don't be mad  i have friends from california too, they are hot!!!
'west' guy- men from east are 'nerds'. people from the east, don't get mad  same, i have friends from the east.
it's like the 'west' men i know don't want me to be with the 'east' men and same with the 'east', they don't want me to be with the 'west'. both of them are telling the 'bads' of each side.
for me, the difference between them is the way they talk, maybe the accent.
what you guys think?
I don't think I ever went out with a west man, but I think that's because I've always lived in the east, so I may try me a west man one day
People from the East (especially in the states around NYC) tend to walk faster than people from the West. At least, that's my observation as someone who grew up in RI and has lots of experience around NY and now lives in Phoenix.
Plus, people in the Northeast wear more black or plain colors while people in the West (California mostly) tend to be more colorful with their style of dress.
And don't get me started on the accents!
Overall though, the West is a bit more relaxed than the East.
