Ovaltine, perhaps?

I don't watch much news and I don't listen to much radio news either, I'm a newspaper girl.

But once in a while I turn on Air America while I'm cooking dinner. Randy Rhodes is usually on during that time and I like her.

I have always been amused that Ovaltine has been one of Air America's biggest advertisers because..... I guess they seem so home-town, retro, or something. Other than that there has been a lot of public service type messages and things that were obviously slanted to appeal to "liberals" like me.

Tonight I turned it on and heard ads for Hamburger Helper, Standard TV and Appliance and some very mainstream kind of advertisers. Certainly a bigger variety of advertisers with less targeted messages.

As I do have a bit of history in media buying I found this very interesting.

With the election looming, have you noticed any changes in non-political advertising?

have you seen their ad slogan ?
"...Ovaltine not only tastes great, but it is a source of goodness for you and your bump..."
so they seem to appeal to the 'goodness' in people ?
