Since Steve
a) is very busy momentarily
and
b) always looses the daily fight with computer

I've got the homour to ask:

what about meeting -"like in the old good days"- at the Old Chesshire Cheese on Saturday night thats 02/08/03?

(There's a rumour, saying a nice couple from the North might rush to London on that weekend as well!)

Well, the "northern couple" are coming (if they can manage it) only that weekend.

And my wife (you are not going to miss her, are you?) and I arrive on the first and leave on the seventh. (And Steve's wife certainly would join as well!)

(In between we are a little bit hooked ... fiefs of .... [his computer isn't working!], well, there are lots of plans already.)

Damn..double damn !!! 02/08 has been booked weeks in advance, and I just cannot cancel it !!!!

How abt a quick drinkie on the 6th - if that is free with you guyz ?

And maybe if Fiona comes to know that I can't make it on the 2nd, she will persuade McTag to change her mind and come on the 6th as well Smile

Cheshire Cheezy-weezie?

Could well be. Good suggestion.

Walk down through Lincoln Inn Fields, it's really nice.
Or, walk up from the Wobbly Bridge, St Paul's and Ludgate Hill (?) that's really nice too, but different.

Hi there guys particularly Gautam

Gautam you are just sooooo goooood for the old ego!!!!

I would love to be able to meet up again. Are you away from the 2nd to the 6th of August or is it just that you can't make the 2nd Aug? We can only be in London on that weekend. We think that we will travel Friday and maybe return Sunday or Monday. Still to be finalised.

Looking forward to hooking up with you, Walter and Ulla at a time to suit you both. We appreciate that you will have a busy itinerary but I hope we can arrange to meet for a drink or in Alan's case something to eat!

More later.

Fiona, the problem on the 2nd is that I am helping arrange a get together for friends - and this being my (our) party, it would be very difficult for me to bow out of it, or even disappear for an hour or so !!!

But I will certainly try !! If that doent work out - maybe I will drop in to Manchester Laughing

Hi there again

What about Sunday 3rd for us all to get together? Or am I missing something here! Great to see you Gautam if you get to Manchester but I seem to remember there was talk of you going to Prague to work or am I confused again. It's no joy growing old!!

But I can definitely recommend the hostelries in Walter's hometown!

And, Margo, steer clear of the Dimple! It will only end in tears. Timing is everything and you did manage to meet up with Gautam the Supremo Host of London! The rest of us just can't hold a candle to him.

Where is all this going to end?
