New Poll: If Bush Breaks Leg, Majority Approve Putting Him Down
5/24/2006 - Rick Sabian
Washington - The nation held entranced over whether the Prize Winning horse Barbaro would have to be euthanized, has answered a new Gallop Poll that said that if President Bush broke his leg, 93% would approve of putting him down.
That's a startling number since that number would include a majority of Republicans. Conservative Political Analyst Steven Sands said, "It makes complete sense. Conservatives would like to see a health care system that mirrors the pure simplicity of the Equestrian world; if you break your leg, don't ask for expensive doctors and hospitals, just simply euthanize. Bush is not willing to stock emergency supplies of Tamiflu for the whole nation, but he will allow the country to have a complete supply of arsenic. That's Bush's dream of Universal Health Care."
Whitehouse Press Secretary Tony Snow said, "Actually, Bush dying is the only way we can think of raising his poll numbers. The Martyr Factor will be a huge boom to the Bush Dynasty; we're already collecting money for building a Mt. Bushmore in Ramallah. It'll easily blow away the Sphinx; we plan on selling Bush effigies for the locals to burn—and get this; we'll sell them the gasoline to do it at an outrageous $10 a gallon. Who says we didn't win the war?"
Analyst Steven Sands explained why Republicans turned on Bush in this poll. "Bush is popular as an idea and not as a person. Death not only becomes him; it's really the only thing we can say he's good at. Ask the families of ten of thousands of Iraqis."
