Sorry I missed the Mother's Day thread. It seemed to morph a little into wine, and I'm glad to hear Bear and Swinny are getting into it. The Cab C.I. referenced was Alexander Valley Vineyard's Cabernet Sauvignon. Be sure it's the 2003 vintage (2002 sucked and I haven't yet tried 2004). Should run about $17 at your local wine store. Under $10; I'm very impressed with Novella's Cab (E.O.S.'s other label... Their late harvest Muscato and Port of Zinfandel are to die for, though the later is discontinued and tougher to get, as well as a little pricy.) Very good for the price. Riesling: You must try a silly looking label called Twisted River. Outstanding for under $10. That goes for you, too, C.I. Fruity, without the artificial-sweet taste of most inexpensive Rieslings.
