I was thinking and it's no great revelation, based on no links or scholarly articles, that the next President, no matter who he/she may be or what party they are affiliated with is going to inherit such a mess that they will pretty much be hamstrung from day one.
I wonder if the American public will be patient with them.

"Hello, Prince Of Bengal Restaurant, how may I help you?"
"Hello, is that 911, I have an emergency"
"Well, we deliver, if that's what you mean"
"No, I was after the emergency services"
"You must be American, that's an American number. You want to dial 999 over here in the UK"
"OUTRAGEOUS! .....OK, forget the emergency and send me two lamb bhunas, a portion of basmati rice and a peshwari nan, please"
"OK, they'll be with you in half an hour".

Psychic Bengal Princes to know where to deliver...
We use OOO its tough remembering two different numbers in an emergency
Plus 9 is at the bottom of the key pad and to get to 1 you have to go all the way up the key pad and then over.
OOO makes much more sense *nods*
000 is all very fine when one is upside down, as it looks very much the same number. A very sensible move by Australia, methinks.
And onomotopaic, as well.
"Quick! Dial Oooooooooooooooo!"
Do you think Hilary Clinton would be a good president?
It kinda what you might say in an emergency to so that helps too remind us.
try cutting your foot off with a chainsaw.
whats the first thing that comes into your head.......... ooo! sh8t that hurt.
Now substitute 911......... just dont work does it.
first pommy Man: bugger i've cut my foot off with a chainsaw
other pommy Man: nein nein nein
first pommy man: Yes I jolly well have you kraut!
Well, if the next President is a Democrat, they'll have to tax and spend in order to get rid of the deficit and fix the mess. Then the Republicans will blame the Democrats for being tax and spend monkeys.
