BAGHDAD, Iraq, The U.S. military command Thursday released previously unseen images of a video purportedly posted by Al Qaeda in Iraq's leader, showing him decked out in American tennis shoes and unable to operate his machine gun.

Laughing Very funny video, please watch it.

Makes you wonder how they managed to pull off 911 with military precision. Neutral

Geeze, what a putz. You come out with the most egregious rants, and yet you seem to swallow rightwing propaganda whole. Zarqawi is Jordanian, and he only became the leader of "al Qaeda in Iraq" because that is what he decided to call his group of thugs. The September 11th terrorists were Saudi, and therefore had a valid connection to al Qaeda, an organization started by the Saudi fanatic, bin Laden. Zarqawi had no previous connection to al Qaeda, and the only connection he has now is using the name.

You failed to notice that the report was filed by the AP not FNC.

Who cares who filed the report? It does not alter the fact that neither Zarqawi nor any of his adherents had any association with al Qaeda until after the invasion of Iraq, when the idjit declared himself the head of "al Qaeda in Iraq." You might just as well tell us that you're not white, and expect us to believe it, just because you say so.

You know this to be true? You know for a fact that none of the people involved with Zarqawi have had no ties to al Qaeda? As far as we know Zarqawi never attended al Qaeda training camps but that doesn't mean since he started his terror activaties in Iraq that al Qaeda hasn't sent people to help and train his people. I didn't know you could only be Saudi and be al Qaeda?

I didn't say that were true--i simply pointed out that Zarqawi had absolutely no connection with al Qaeda until he proclaimed himself the leader of "al Qaeda in Iraq." Given the evidence of the video, if al Qaeda sent operatives to train him and his thugs, we have nothing to worry about.

Then neither should they because I know people in the military that just about as bad. Remember Jessica Lynch? It just goes to show that not everyone involved in war knows what they are doing but some do.

This video has been labeled as a tool in the propaganda war against Al-Qaeda, supossedly to show Al Zarqawi to his underlings and would be supporters as innefective...

I just wonder why is it then that it is being reported on by the media in the U.S?

I can't imagine that there are many Zarqawi fans willing to take up arms in the mainland... after all , that's why they're fighting them there isn't it? Laughing

Nah, it's psyops against our own citizens; make the enemy look like an idiot, since we've proven completely unable to catch the guy after two years of trying.

Propaganda is traditionally something that we prefer our government to use against the enemy, not against it's own citizens.

I know you are not niave now. Propaganda has been used since the dawn of time in this country. We used it in every WW and beyond. Just because you don't like the current admin just colors your views.

Their propaganda doesn't seem to be working. Latest polls show the administration down again. Even the conservatives are fleeing W. Besides Zarqawi's field of expertise seems to be IEDs, and those are working just fine for him. Machine guns are so 20th century. Don Rumsfeld is so 18th century, and he seems completely incapable of dealing with terrorists who've stayed a jump or two ahead of him since 9/11. He "steamlined" the military, all right, but that wasn't what was needed to deal with terrorism.

Set is right, by the way.
