Based on what we now know, how will history judge the G.W. Bush Presidency?
when the records are unsealed in three hundred years we may find out the truth.
I believe he will be placed lower than Hoover, my alltime worst President in history.
IMO, the time of assessment of President Bush's activities has not yet come; but I think that fifty years later Americans will add his portrait to the Mt. Rushmore site.
He laughs best who laughs last.
I voted 'other' cuz I'm still holding out for a bathtub death, like Taft.
Mt. Rushmore site.
Not .....
I think more like a picture on the wall of the post office.
Not enough evidence in yet -- but if things continue as they are going now:
He will probably be in the lowest 25% in a list of all presidents.
Definitely LOWER than Nixon, now.
Eventually, his "tit for tat" methods will cause the nation to rise up in indignation, the same as they did when they heard of the Nixon "hate
lists".
Bush is alienating whole countries, not just individuals. I think the people will SEE it before the vote in 2004... that the USA will not rise to it's International status of 'the best', until we have a 'regime' change.
I voted for 'other' because 'thief' sounds so innocent and 'savior' works only if you are a crooked CEO or part of the Bush administration.
'Other' opens up a rich field of accurate and descriptive words such as fascist, proselytizer, neocon, puppet, tyrant, despot, et al.
Now that it's my bed time, I need to go play in limericks or digress or something--anything to avoid having nightmares.

After President Bush completes his term in 2008, we'll be better able to determine how history will view him.

In 2008, President Bush will be vacating the White House and another Republican will be entering.
Much the same as other presidents, I suppose - with variance based on the beliefs and biases of the historians and the usual ups and downs of historical fashion.
