Are they serious? Granted that Brown took the fall for others mistakes but at least some of the blame lies with him. It's a suprise to me that LA would want anything to do with him. I can see it from Brown's perspective wanting to rebuild his name.

NEW ORLEANS ?- Former FEMA chief Michael Brown, whose name became synonymous with government ineptitude after Hurricane Katrina, may be hired as a consultant by hard-hit St. Bernard Parish.

St. Bernard officials recently met with Brown in Washington to discuss hiring him to help the struggling parish navigate the recovery process. He is expected to meet with members of the parish council on Thursday.

Actually, this might be a brilliant move on the part of St. Bernard. Granted, Brown totally dropped the ball during Katrina, but he still has political clout and could get Saint Bernard Parish some well-needed Federal bucks.
