Quote:...........Finally, the Lobby's influence has been bad for Israel. Its ability to persuade Washington to support an expansionist agenda has discouraged Israel from seizing opportunities - including a peace treaty with Syria and a prompt and full implementation of the Oslo Accords - that would have saved Israeli lives and shrunk the ranks of Palestinian extremists.............
Yep Good Call!!!
The Israeli Lobby is composed of antisemitic neoNazis
Gimme a break
They aren't saying that the Israel lobby is composed of antisemitic neoNazis.
What they are saying is that the Israel lobby has tended to pursue some policies, such as the expansionist ones that the current Israeli administration is pursuing, that are myopic and self-serving, and therefore are detrimental to the peace process, incites Palestinian extremists, and are ultimately detrimental to the safety of Israelis.
Yep and that's exactly right InfraBlue!
But motives are ever unclear while policies aren't so therefore others may go along or even actively support the current policies for motives not shared by the Israeli lobby
