Now, why would someone chop off a kangeroo's penis or make a pouch out of it's scrotum?

Well, not in my imaginary universe anyway, "boy bands" are unheard of there also...yeah it's a nice place.

Yes, for example, in the IMDb message boards if you ignore someone their posts won't be shown to you.

I was just wondering why this option is not available here.

It'd be handy since threads can grow so much in a2k. It is sometimes almost impossible to read the posts of interest because of all the fluff.

It's being made as part of a rewrite of a2k. Users will be able to elect to filter/display posts by several different criteria. By giving the end-user better tools to decide what content they see the rules will be able to be more flexible.

It is useful if done right and it's a planned addition to the new a2k.

There something disturbing about an "Ignore function".

Its like we need a program for something we should be able to handle ourselves. It's a reflection.

What I don't understand is when people you aren't ignoring respond to people you are ignoring....

You know you'll unignore them to see what you missed.

Will you be able to unignore people and reignore them easily?

Taunton has an ignore function. It's very easy to activate/de-activate. You can choose to look at individual posts by a poster you've got on overall ignore. Handy feature sometimes.
