Why isn't there an ignore function on A2K?

I was just asking why one hadn't been implemented.

It is of no real consquence whether the idea is ever emloyed I suppose.

I have created an Ignore function in my head.

I love it...but you have to use the scroll button.

I call it a "filter". I turn it up and down depending on who i'm talking to. I even do it at work and in the market. People could be talking to me and I just look at them with a stupid blank look on my face. Soon they think i'm crazy and they give up then I don't have to worry about them. Smile

you ignore what you consider fluff from someone, so you never get the opportunity to catch the pearls that are cradled therein.

besides, fluff is what the makes the world go round....the day I get too mature for that, just shoot me.

I don't think Craven should waste his time writing code for "ignoring" posts. We should just read what we want and avoid those who irritate or annoy us. Why create extra work for the site? Actually I still do read stuff from posters that I don't care for and I can rant to myself how thick-headed and what-not I might find them, but for some crazy reason I think there is the slight possibility that one day I might learn something new. I don't want this site to be restrictive and see partial pieces of a thread. I'd hate to see an ignore button against posters or subject-matters. Isn't that what personal choice is about? We choose what we read/respond to and dont?
