Naw, Texas can't secede from the union any more than any state can. Or they can't without a heck of a fight anyway. But it's still part of Texas lore and Texans don't mind reminding folks that they would be just fine if they did. Smile

The provision about dividing itself is said to be still in play, but there is very little interest in doing that.
