I wrote a little satire once in which I renamed all persons with names that are similar.
The name I chose for Bush was Shrub, but I'm seeing it everywhere now.
Is it widespread? Politicians always have pet names, some affectionate, otehrs that deride. Is Shrub one in common use?
The reason I ask is because what I had written wasn't intended to be partisan, but if Shrub is indeed a name used to poke fun at Bush it would explain some of the responses I got.
Molly Ivens came up with it, I believe. And yeah, it's widespread.
Thanks! So much for having an original thought.
Well, two people can have separate original thoughts, can't they? If you didn't know about Molly, then hey, it was original.
Still, it takes away the luster. Schniff.
A blurb in hand is worth two in the shrub.
Whatever it is the word
BUSH is not decent
whether it is American desert
or african way of existense.
Any views?
That satire idea sounds nifty.
"Nifty"... I haven't heard that one in a while.
I'm with Soz - more than one person can have an original idea. Absolutely.
Let's see that satire!
Mr Bush should be called 'Shush' - At all times he should stay completely silent. Keep his mouth shut.
Once in a while one should show ignorance.
BUSH is not my address.
