I found it through the Ask-An-Expert link on dmoz.org. I had been looking for a site like this for a long time. There are a lot of so called ask-an-expert type sites out there but none of them really have a community feeling like Ask Jeeves AnswerPoint did before it shut down.

My criteria were that I wanted to find a site that was more than just an Ask-An-Expert site. It had to had news and general discussion to keep me busy when I don't have anything to ask or there's nothing good to answer.

I spent a little time at another answer board but the site became so over moderated and the owner of the site was always picking fights with his members that it was just no fun to be there anymore, so I left. A lot of the people have left. Hopefully some of them end up here.

You indeed sound like myself concernin' these issues... Small World after all, huh? I think I like this Site, & Forum as well... Hope to see some activity to get involved w/myself! Wanna discuss "Plants"? lol (I really can though, honest...) lol

The reason I say ALL, is because I cannot possibly decide at this particular moment which one I like the BEST, for they're ALL simply put: "Stunningly Beautiful & Imaginative"!!! I got here through a tortured route.

While searching for something or other, I stumbled across Loretta's Lounge. I posted some and lurked alot, leading to me getting invited to a yahoo group (Eloquor) which I never posted to, but lurked at regularly. From there, I followed the link to here, seeing a few familiar names.

I probably won't be around too much, as I have my own place to run, but I'm a compulsive forum-joiner and lurker, so here I am

Oh, and weirdly, a person i bumbed into at Loretta's Lounge, after only being online for only a week or two, later turned out to be a big poster at another, totally unrelated forum that i joined. WHo knows, maybe I'll bump into someone I know here.

But I doubt it.

Ah well, enough of my inane chat.

Well my friend, consider me a "groupie" then! I love your work, & you make this page indeed interesting, that, I like very much!

You might as well check out the Political forum, for I've gotta feelin' I'm about to be there quite a bit, this is a very important year, politically speaking for the U.S., & I've indeed got things on MY mind... I hope to get a good thread goin' there, & I'm workin' on how I want to start what I've got to say, & lookin' extremely forward to reflections/feedback, etc. from that Forum... :wink: Hope to see you there as well!
