A voluntary universal health care system Rolling Eyes that will never happen.

Who is going to volunteer and pay for Obama's pipe dream?

You will, in about 2 years once it's passed.

Hell no I won't !!

Only idiots will buy into this scam.

Well, under Obama's plan, you don't have to buy into the insurance if you don't want to; no mandate.

But, you don't already have health insurance at this time?

Shocked Is Obama's plan requiring insurance companies to be non-profit? I must have overlooked something.

No, I was just throwing a thought out there.

Cycloptichorn

Yeah, non-profits, what a bunch of scams! Get serious, cyclops.

Dream on, Diest.

"So-called public-policy experts often take the many advances in modern technology for granted. They assume that government regulations and controls merely redistribute the fruits of progress without affecting the nature and extent of technological development itself."

The problem with Obama's plans, I have a feeling we could be in for a bunch of "bait and switch" operations. Private today, Nanny State tomorrow.

The point your missing is that Obama will never have a chance to put any of his scary socialist plans into action.

Not in so many words, but if the government requires the insurance companies to take all applicants no questions asked, it will have the same effect.

Why do you think that would be the case?

After he's elected president, and has a Dem House and Senate, it is entirely likely that he WILL put them into action.

You didn't answer my question; are you currently uninsured? For if you already carry insurance, I don't see much of a difference.

Growing numbers of people are realizing that Obama is not all that. These people will make sure Obama will not be elected president.

Of course I have insurance - it would be irresponsible for me not to insure myself.

Then nothing will change for you under Obama's health care plan.

As for your other contention, well; let's just say that there's a lack of evidence supporting your contention.

You will note that the slope of the line is pretty good for Obama, since he wrapped up the nomination.

I'd rather have the poll numbers, personally...

McSame is what's gonna kill McCain at the polls in November; the majority of Americans want answersto Iraq and our economy, not a third term for Bush.

Luckily the majority of Americans I know are smarter than the Americans you know.

This country can not survive another term for Jimmy Carter - that fact alone will kill Obama's already shrinking chances to be elected.

I have not seen anybody comparing Carter to Obama; can you provide some sources for this?
