1) I'd love for you to find a single post from any individual suggesting this.
2) This is not a part of democratic or liberal politics. Therefore irrelevant.

You're not just talking out of both sides of your mouth, you're talking out of your a$$. The theory is obviously flawed, but it just your strawman to frame Obama supporters in a negative way without ever having to identify a single person who subscribes to such a theory.

Here's someone on THIS board that meets your criteria, my favorite RACIST, TEENYBOONE!

Apparently the dictionary says this too Laughing Laughing Laughing

You need to look the word racist and racism up in any dictionary. Racism is one group in the MAJORITY, (whites), denying the rights of another group, in the minority, (blacks and others)! Whites have done it since we stepped on the Virginia shore in 1619.

I stand corrected. Teeny, you're on your own.

You may think this comment is cute or even funny and put in the smiley face, i take it as overtly offensive every bit as much as a KKK noose or burning cross and WAY over the edge. I am however, curious as to the origination of this thought. Is it from your mind or some other source?

I already answered this once, but after reading it again, comparing my comment to a KKK noose or burning cross, I will admit to being offended. You know what, dys, I have something to say to you. GET LOST. You are a pathetic member of A2K. Get lost and stay lost.
the biggest differist between my posts and yours is that I welcome yours as being another opinion while you abhor anything contradictory to your own, I am an american while you are simply a conservative who cannot thin past your nose. scum sucking pig.

I think you may be giving her a bum rap. She was disagreeing with a statement of mine in which I noted the (then recent) movement of Blabk voters in North Carolina to Obama and Whites there to Hillary, suggesting they were equivalently racist (for those who insist on using the term). She was making the point that I had failed to consider the historical majorities there and the resultant perspectives of Black voters in the State.

I didn't buy her objection in that context, but I can sympathize with it --- certainly enough to refrain from calling her out as an example of racism, which I think she most certainly is not.

Thanks for the reply MM. You found two people who don't satisfy either of my criteria though. Those people aren't posting here on A2K to defend their ideas, and I don't need to defend their ideas. Those ideas additionally are not a part of the Democratic or liberal world view. Okie's point remains just straw.

No, it is quite pertinent, it is a theory I have heard for years, put forth by many people, where have you been Diest?

Certainly the theory has been put forth. It really hasn't gathered any momentum with any group.

It has gathered alot of momentum, and in fact I think is a commonly held view by many black leaders or political figures. And that is precisely why some will say that people in the majority are disqualified from criticizing someone like Jeremiah Wright, and in fact if you do, you are the racist, not Wright. And this may even include blacks who criticize Wright. This is how ridiculous this has all become, and so far out of whack this is now.

georgeob1, teenyboone is not a racist because of what she said there.....but for a whole number or other reasons that a simple search of her posts will reveal.

I sympathize with the challenges that minorities have to go through also, but there is no excuse for some of the crap she's spewed about.

Commonly held? This theory that minorities can't be racist is now "common?" You're out of touch okie.

No word specifically on Edwards, but 8% unsure.

More interesting is watching the republican polls. I'm not sure McCain is going to do so hot in the general.

Last Tuesday, Huckabee still gets 23%.
Today, McCain gets 33% followed close by 29% by of all people Guiliani.

???

Your linked source is wrong. The West Virginia Republican caucus wasn't held yesterday, it was held on Feb. 5.

I love this, about the special election in Mississippi that the Democrat unexpectedly won:

Quote:
"The Republican strategy of trying to link Mr. Childers to more liberal national Democratic figures fell short, as it did in Louisiana. Indeed, voters here were bombarded by advertisements equating Mr. Childers with Senator Barack Obama, a tactic intended to turn conservative whites away from Mr. Childers and which some politicians said played on white racial resentmentsÂ… In the end, tying the white Democrat to the black presidential candidate may have helped Mr. Childers more than it hurt him, as campaign aides reported heavy black turnout, heavier than in a vote three weeks ago when he came within 400 votes of winning."

It probably won't. But then again, she must be feeling like the party, especially a lot of her presumed allies and friends in it, has stabbled her in the back too. So, a woman scorned and all that. . .

Clinton's W.Va. victory does little to slow Obama

Quote:
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - Hours after being routed by Hillary Rodham Clinton in West Virginia, Barack Obama picked up two more superdelegates, offering fresh recognition from Democratic leaders of his inevitable nomination.

Cool new feature on Firefox. (not to be confused with Foxfyre) I clicked on the stupid cartoon and was given the choice: block images from Townhall.com and I did.

Of course every one of those 'images from Townhall' appear in newspapers and magazines all across the country. They are syndicated cartoons unrelated to Townhall. The Townhall site is simply a convenient place to see what the political cartoon landscape includes today. Too bad that one's prejudices overrides all other considerations or conveniences.
