Now that was clear. I don't see how Obama could have made it any clearer. As our feminist friends put it so well: "No" means "no". It doesn't mean "I'm just teasing you seductively". What part of "no" don't you understand? You New Yorkers and Columbians are chauvinist bullies of the worst kind! I don't understand why this thread is even alive anymore.

Here's an interesting bit.

I've just heard from someone (second hand) who attended a Bush fund-raiser for Allen that "We are very worried, from a lot of polling (eg 'how would you think of Hillary if Bill was living in the White House too?') that Hillary will actually win the '08 election."

There are two ways to understand this.

One, that the communication is honest and that their polls suggest Bill's positives WILL apply to Hillary as well. I believe that is a certainty. The question is to what degree.

Two, that they don't believe it so, or are exaggerating, in order to scare the bejeesus out of folks and to try and strengthen their attempts to portray HIllary as the Evil One who is very close indeed to eating their children.

Rather her than me. I understand Republican children taste quite nasty, and the meat is too tough.

Like Larry David, even where offered freely I will refuse to eat a Republican. (Nobody but a Larry David/"Curb Your Enthusiasm" nut will get that one).

The fellow is a bloody genius. cyclo...did you see his performance at the gig his wife set up (in support of global warming education) where a whole roster of the best American comics each did a routine? Larry's topped everyone. Amazing performance.

Did he do a routine where people who jump on planes at the drop of a hat are very concerned about the effect of their activities on the future prospects of their children and grandchildren?

Anybody with even a gamma minus in geniusing would have done that.

No. But he did this wonderful bit on pretending to his first born male child that god has spoken to him in the parking lot and so "we'll have to go outside now and get going on this beheading thing".

Not unless he changes his name. "Obama" sounds like something from a Tarzan movie.

People are a lot more apt to trust a name like Gungasnake.

I've nailed the outhouse door shut from the outside. Perhaps that will reduce the creatures' appearances.
