You've got a point-- all this zeal for Obama and his brilliance seems not only dangerous for expectation levels but so over-the-top it borders on bulls***.

Sour grapes Gala.

Nice free advertising this morning in PA which could turn out to be important:

Obama's in a great position today. With momentum and a fired-up base, he can look to winning 7/8 of the remaining primaries in February, all of which look good for him. This will build on his existing money advantage and lead to a nice even playing field in TX and OH.

Asa a dj I am constantly advisd by other, younger dj's that if I lowered my price I could work more. I chuckle and told them I'd rather raise my price and work less.

NPR, the only station not coronating Obama and calling last night an Obama landslide... correctly reported that last night was a win...albeit a slim one.... for Hillary. she won the Big states necessary to win the general election. And if you combine the delegates and commited superdelegates... Hillary is up somewhere between 50 and 60 delegates as well. That's the last thing I heard before i went to bed at 3am. Naturally I'm only parroting what I heard. as part of the uneducated not so bright blue collar Hillary supporters my words probably don't carry much weight and no doubt I misunderstand things like 2+2 =4.

So go ahead and deify your boy, but I wouldn't start eating his body and drinking his blood just yet oh faithful ones.

Newspapers who jump the gun usually do go down in history. I couldn't find the infamous Chicago Trib 1948 "Dewey Wins" headline--they've taken it off the Truman Library site--but remember that Truman won that election.

Still a long race to go, no doubt.

Two things tho:

1st, winning states which are going to vote Dem anyways in the general is no big accomplishment. NY, CA, MA - these states are all going to vote Dem no matter who the nominee is.

Winning other states which might not, is more of an accomplishment.

2nd, Superdelegates are not pledged and can change their votes. And some will if Obama wins every contest for a solid month.

winning the big states that traditionally vote dem is also how you win the presidency.

Winning states that in many cases will vote republican anyway is a lovely photo op for the family bible, and feels good I'll give you that. Enjoy it, but keep in mind the acomplishment that matters to both Hillary and your new messiah is winning the office. Don't think Obama is merely in this to change the tone and mindset of America. It's nothing that altruistic. He wants to be president.

not so duh... not all but A LOT of people are so swept up in the politics and audacityof hope and all the flowery rhetoric, which btw sounds more like an evangelical preacher daily, they've forgotten that just like his opponents and all those who came before him his main goal is to be president.

But, he'll win every one of those states in the general. She didn't win any state that he can't win later. Can't say the same in reverse. So it's not really accurate to say that he didn't show that he could win the presidency by the states he won.

In most states where Hillary won, Obama still got more votes then the top two Republican candidates combined!

Agreed Cyclops! Something that the coverage is missing. My husband and I were just discussing that. Obama really does have an advantage.

I find myself encouraged this morning for several reasons.

First: McCain looks like the Republican nominee. I am not worried about his SC choices, like I would be with a Romney or especially a Huckabee.

Second: early voting appears to have been a big factor for ClintonÂ… and that well should be drying up soon. Many of these would have been cast before the momentum shifted back to Obama, plus, previous Edwards supporters seem to prefer Obama.

Third is a lesser factor, but a factor nonetheless is that some of the polls had to close early on account of horrific weather. This is likely a Clinton advantage since later reporting precincts tended more towards Obama.

And lastly: CNN is currently showing Clinton with 783 Delegates and Obama with 709. This 74 point margin is the product of super delegates; NOT the will of the American people. (Super Delegates: Clinton up 193 to 106 equals 87).

you seem to be the final word on judgement about what I say.... keep on then... I tried to call off the bickering... but you can't control yourself.

I will repeat that a man who can't control his impulses can't control his bowels.

I will not repsond to you again. Now go ahead and take the self satisfied last word.
