It was stupid to expect a clear answer from Sierra. His agenda is obviously just to smear the Dems and Obama using nothing but innuendo, unlinked "sources", and markedly undazzling bullshyt.
That's a typical right-wing post; just innuendos projected from their own narrow views.
Obama is a thousand times smarter than the man in the white house today. His biography in Wikipedia:

However, if he DOES end up running...
Good job of sifting through the sand. I concur.

You ain't gonna get away with an insult like that, ci.
Change it to two or three thousand times...or we are gonna feud!
Frank, Yes, sir! How about four thousand?
Or we could say over thirty thousand - those that have died in Iraq. After all, "each life is prescious!"
Embryos more than living, breathing, humans.

Many Dems are beginning to despise Obama. Read the liberal blogs. One of his 'constituents' describes him as "pathetic". I agree.
Yet, as that (unlinked blogger, one of the "many" similarly undefined and unlinked) fellow or fellowess would surely use that particular adjective to describe your contributions and "reasoning", what credibility would he have?
A rather famous "unlinked blogger" at that. The Dems are in a circular firing squad, it seems. But then, I love it when they begin to eat their own.

You're watching, but not learning
Typical of the Dems.
Look who's talking about not watching! The Middle East is on fire with hundred dying every day, our government is putting American wealth at risk by spending billions every week on wars without seeing anything resembling any resolution, Bush vetoes a stem cell funding legislation because each life is precious - but is able to send Israel our weapons faster than removing American citizens from a war zone, we're experiencing the worst job creation of any president since Hoover, and some morons on the right has the gall to say we're not watching and learning.
Obama has, clearly, plotted a center left course to follow. Whether this is due to strongly held personal beliefs or a particular political calculation can't, in my opinion, be surmised from the relatively little we know about the man at present.
As I've already acknowledged, he has charisma and is an excellent communicator. The same can be said of of many people and a fair number of presidents. These attributes alone can, unfortunately, get a person elevated to a high position, but they cannot guarantee effectiveness as a leader.
Everyone is certainly entitled to jump on whatever bandwagon is coming down the street, but I think it's a bit premature to announce Obama to be the Second Coming (of Pierre Trudeau?).
I can appreciate, however, a Democrat's desperation for a candidate who is fresh and at least seems to be something apart from a shrill carper without any original ideas or proposals.
I don't think he has much of a chance of winning his party's nomination, and even less of a chance of winning the general election in 2008, but I would love to see him throw his hat in the ring for several reasons:
1) He's a refreshing politician
2) We would be provided with the opportunity to better see of what stuff he is made.
3) To some extent (greater than lesser I hope) he would introduce a more centrist theme to the party's debate.
Side Note: It is interesting that he his so often described as an African-American. Perhaps he prefers that designation himself, but wasn't his father black and his mother white? Can't help also thinking, in this context, of today's British Open winner, Tiger Woods. He too is more often then not referred to as African-American, while his father was black and his mother is asian. If I'm not mistaken, he prefers an alternative appellation that encompasses a wider range of race/ethnicity. Perhaps others have seen the Dave Chappelle Show episode where he ran a skit on a draft of multi-racial celebrities by the various "pure" racial groups: African-Americans picking first chose Tiger Woods, while Asians with the second pick made a surprise selection and chose Wu-Tang Clan.
The radical Left is pissed because he endorsed Lieberman. Some are pissed because he told them to "get religion" (heh).
They're upset he voted to confirm Condi and they didn't like that one bit. He criticized those in favor of filibustering Alito, then voted for the filibuster. He further pissed off the Donk base by refusing to join Feingold's motion to censure Bush.

1) Not refreshing so much as calculating. And ask John Edwards how far "charisma" got him.
2) He equivocates on the issues, depending on who it is he's addressing. Equivocation is the stuff of which he's made.
3) The Dem base doesn't want a centrist. They're slamming him
because of his centrist posturing.
He won't be nominated.

It must really suck to constantly get your ass handed to you by someone you have no respect for.
It's not my ass I'm worried about. I'm 71 years old with no money worries, but our children will be faced with the screwed up world moron Bush created for future generations.
Before you righties project stupidity, learn what the phk you're talking about.
