Wolf was such a putz trying to bait them...it's a DEBATE, you moron, not a sporting event. Idiot. This is the guy we have moderating a presidential DEBATE? What a crock.

Anyway, I watched the last half of the republican debate yesterday and the difference between those guys and these two are night and day. This looks like a united party with new ideas and a promise to take us in a new direction, while the two republicans that are realistically left look like a couple of rich white guys with stale ideas that are, at their core, just a continuation of the same crap we've been doing for the past seven years.

It is gonna SUCK when McCain spanks Hillary and becomes our next president.

Man, how do you contain all that positive energy during your days? Must be a workout nut, huh?

Hillary still refuses to say she made a mistake on Iraq, even while blabbing about how she wouldn't have went there. That's weak. I also get aggravated by her super-phony laugh. She used it extensively when asked about Bill. The question wasn't nearly that funny. And if you have to stall to think of your canned response; running your fingers down a chalk board is a lousy way to do it.

Her and Giuliani. He did that every time that he was asked about his affair on the city dime.

May it have the same effect....

No worse then Hillary. She can't bring herself to say Illegal Immigrant no matter how silly the sentences sound.

The drivers' license question and the moral aspect of the issue won it for Obama - amongst latinos, I guarantee.

Clinton does have trouble keeping euphemisms for Illegal Immigrants on the tip of her tongue but she doesn't have too woo latinos the way Obama does.

How you and CJ could have seen things like integrity and morals in this debate is beyond me. I tend to think you're reflecting on your bias for Obama.

Um, on the drivers' license/illegal immigrant question Obama said 'to me, it's a moral issue.'

So, yeah. I'm only judging what he said, not that I think he's some sort of saint and came off that way in the debate.

This wasn't much of a debate. Wolf was correct in trying to make it more of one, but his technique was ridiculous.

No, you tell them, nimh, if you think that your opinion counts even in the slightest - at least in the Republican party Smile

Finn - never mind these hilarious intervals, sort of like medieval court jesters in between acts of some morality play: I think we're heading for a re-run of Wendell Willkie's nomination in the 1940 Philadelphia convention.

I doubt latinos were swayed by Obama saying, with look of sincerity on his face, that the licence issue is a moral matter for him, but you've guaranteed it, so I won't argue it further.

I knew that was too strongly worded. I wrote it quickly because this damn thread goes so fast I thought it might be two pages down the line if I didn't say what I wanted to say quickly. I understand how you might see it the way you saw it Finn.

It is going to be awfully hard for any Republican to win when twice as many Democrats than Repubicans show up at the polls in November.
