No. Actually, it sounds more like a giant load of horseshit.

And what do you think teenyboone sees when she looks at Obama?

How do you feel about his name, Barack Hussein Obama? Do you have the same objectivity?

Must be a concept you struggle with, kicky.

The comments from Obama supporters regarding the cheating and vote suppression tricks used by the Clintons in Nevada are stunning. Many are saying that if Hillary is the nominee, they'll either vote Republican or stay home.

They are really, really angry.

I'm not sure who you were addressing your question towards, but if it was to me, I have no feelings about his name whatsoever.

ANYway,

I understood what you said about "a colorblind society", and voting for Obama, teenyboone.

Don't bust a gasket trying to explain stuff that either someone gets at the first, or not at all.
I understood it too... and would bet Tico did as well. There was nothing unclear about the post whatsoever. You'll remember that I have iterated in the past that Obama would by default win a tie-breaker for my vote based on the same desire. That does nothing to explain Teenyboone's inexplicable denial of the sentiment in the very next post, let alone justify accusations of racism.

I just told you when I look at Obama I don't see a black man. Does that sound like a racist to you?

No, I think the person who looks at someone and focuses on the color of their skin, is a racist. You may not agree, or you may find that a bitter pill to swallow, but that is what I believe.

I can't agree with tico more. He is right.

What does she see? Probably a man, who's 50% white and 50% black. Surprised

How could anyone call Obama black, in the first place. Since he's 50% WHITE, why not call him WHITE? Surprised

I have to say I don't really get that -- you decided to vote for someone way in advance and then you just don't really pay attention to anything else because you've already decided?

Of course don't change your mind based on color or gender -- but what about changing your mind based on issues, or how a given person conducts his or her campaign, or implications for America's ability to repair relations with the rest of the world, or or or...

If you say that you've examined Obama closely and you still prefer Hillary, that's one thing -- but with "who decided to vote for Clinton before Obama became a factor in the election" it sounds like you've never really given Obama a close look in the first place.

I don't see the kind of difference that makes me change my mind. If I encountered someting earthshakingly new, it would be a different story. Just because I didn't change my mind does not mean I have suspended my reasoning ability.
