I agree. But don't be too hard on Clinton and Edwards. After all, it's not their fault that Obama has more experience as an elected official than either of them.

Americans can't see that we need a 100 percent overhaul of our government in Washington. Until that happens, everything will remain the same - including the war in Iraq, our economy in crisis, and more Americans losing their health insurance, their jobs and homes, and their sanity.

That is a scenario which happens to be in congruence, synergystically, with the decline of religious, or rather Christian, sensibilities, I think.

Do you think there is no connection c.i.?

What good is experience if all it produces is the same people in different clothing that don't give a F*CK about changing anything? Once you're president, you can make change happen even if you're a complete incompetent. Just look at George W. Bush for an example of that. It's a stupid argument, and it will lead to us having the same old insiders that we always get.

I'm afraid that modern government is so complex that those with no experience would be prostrated in the face of it.

I'm sure Mr Obama has some experience of these complexities as also do all his opponents except maybe Mr McCain who has been to places the others have managed to avoid.

Meanwhile, on a note of criticism of the Obama camp -- this is what I came here for -- I'm sorry, but this must be the lamest attack in the whole Democratic primary so far. This is just really, really lame.

Obama's national campaign co-chairman, Jesse Jackson Jr., slammed Clinton's now-famous misty-eyed moment by wondering aloud why she didn't shed public tears for victims of Hurricane Katrina, for example.

"They have to be looked at very, very carefully in light of Katrina, in light of other things that Mrs. Clinton did not cry for," Jackson told MSNBC.
Ack... that is lame. I'm not sure it's lamer than the "planning presidency since grade-school" thing, but it's in the same category of absurd.

Those who can't figure out where Obama (or any of the serious contenders) stand are lazy, illiterate or mentally deficient. There is no other explanation.

I got an e-mail today that shows exactly what he's on about, spendius. At least according to the nutball wing of the kickycan family.

Here, check it out.

Who is Barack Obama?

Very interesting and something that should be considered in your choice.

If you do not ever forward anything else, please forward this to all your contacts...
this is very scary to think of what lies ahead of us here in our own United States ...
better heed this and pray about it and share it.

We checked this out on 'snopes.com'. It is factual. Check for yourself.

Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U.S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was s born in Honolulu , Hawaii , to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel , Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita , Kansas .
Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii . When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced.
His father returned to Kenya . His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia .
When Obama was 6 years old the family relocated to Indonesia . Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta .
He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim.
He is quick to point out that, 'He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school.'

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that he is not a radical.

Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best.
In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam.
Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta .

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world.
Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States , Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.
ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegiance nor will he show any reverence for our flag.
While others place their hands over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out,
what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States , one of their own!!!!

Please forward to everyone you know. Would you want this man leading our country?...... NOT ME!!!

When politicians offer nothing, and the people demand nothing, then the powers-that-be are free to continue doing whatever they choose. The death knell of participatory politics can often be a very noisy, celebratory affair - such as we have witnessed in the call-and-response ritual of “Change!” “Hope!” and other exuberant but insubstantial campaign exercises

And now we are left only with the politics of “Change” — which is anything the various audiences want it to be. Through relentless pandering to white desires for an end to Black agitation and reminders of enduring institutional racism, Obama has proven his ability to amass huge white support. As a result, much of Black America may become convinced the last hurdle to putting a Black Face in the Highest Place has been overcome, and shift overwhelmingly to Hillary’s estranged Black political twin. Corporate America, never threatened by either candidate, has long been comfortable with the outcome of this race, whichever way it goes — that’s why they put their money on both Barack and Hillary.

After Obama thanked his supporters for making him a close second in New Hampshire, the sound system blared a Stevie Wonder song with the hook, “Here I am, baby, signed sealed, delivered, I’m yours.”

For whom were those lyrics meant?

ingness-of-“change”/

Is this a direct quote or someone elses? You asked, for whom those lyrics meant? If you are Black, you know!

Nothing inferred, personally, just reflecting the great lyrics of Stevie Wonder! Bill Clinton, did it, with, "Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow"! A song from the 60's of which my generation came and was the "change" of American Society, as we now know it.

The end of segregation, the end of job discrimination and public accomodations, entry into once, all white schools and universities, a "colorless" society, the beginning of Martin's dream, where all men are judged, by the content of their character, that's what!

The "change" Barack Obama is talking about, is the recapture of our country, or some sembalence of it, from the last 7 years, of oppression, secrecy, unjust war, rendition, torture, etc. and the end of the Bush regime and maybe, the recapture of a once respected Nation!

You don't live here, yet you judge America, with a broad brush. Yes, we are a lot of bad things, by the government we got stuck with, but I'd still rather be Black and be here! Obama wants the American people to take back their country and with him as their head, ALL people will lower their shoulders from the stress brought on, by this Hitler-like person, called GW Bush!

Some of the stupidest people I've ever met were well educated and did not have once of common sense.
As far as Obama knowing how to undo the damage of the Bush presidency, did he also promise to walk on water.

AU:
Ditto! I worked in a thinktank for 20 years, AT&T. I had a rude awakening, being a Southerner, in that, I met some brownskinned people, who weren't African-American, but rode on the backs of the civil rights movement, so many had given their lives for. These, (non-Blacks), (Jamaicans), had taken advantage of anything, African-Americans, had gained through suffering and humiliation, yet turned and told me one day, "I have a country and you don't"! To which, I answered, well on my birth certificate, it states, the city and state, I was born in, making me an American Citizen, 5 generations, removed, since my people have been here since 1619! You see, in his ignorance, he stereotyped Blacks, by thinking, we didn't study our history. We do! Since I also know geography, I asked, "So why are you here"? Answer: Opportunity! I said, "Off the backs of Blacks, right"?
After some ahems, er's, well, well, etc., I said, I don't remember seeing you at any sit-ins, boycotts, etc., so you should return to your country and take your flag, with you! I then trotted off to my next meeting, proud of my heritage and always proud to call myself, American, no matter how my people, got here. Yes, there are educated fools, out there! Cool Cool

Read the last para of the "Early life and career" section; the "State legislature" section; the "Senate career" sections on the 109th Congress and 110th Congress; and you might add the "Books" section.
