@snood,
Thanks for this, Snood. I had mentioned it to Nancy last night while we were out...and was planning to look for it on YouTube this morning...but when I checked A2K, here it was.

Like me, she loved it when I just played it for her.

Obama shows more humanity, decency, and connection with "the people" by accident than the Republican contenders who would be his opponent do with all their posturing, scheming, and acting. This short clip shows that in a delightful way.

Why is electing someone President an "experiment"?

Are you saying our political system has major flaws?

@parados,
waterboy is the major flaw; he has no ability to qualify anything he says.

@Frank Apisa,
He actually has a good voice and it was a cool moment, but a display of humanity, decency and connection with people?

The way you guys carry on about the president one might think he had the ability to cause the seas to stop rising and the earth to heal.

@Finn dAbuzz,
What has seas rising and earth to heal have anything to do with the president?

@Finn dAbuzz,
You and georgeob sure love religious imagery. No one else on the board has such fervor.

@ehBeth,
Do I really have to remind you and CI that the religious imagery about the seas and the earth was contained within Barrack Obama's speech after he won the Dem nomination?

But yes, I am fond of religious imagery. I'd like to say this makes me unique, but it hardly does.

Religious imagery enthralls and sells. Just ask hundreds of authors, composers, painters, and directors.

@cicerone imposter,
Really?

Are you really so dense as to deny the influence of religion and incorporation of religious imagery in popular culture, and our treasured cultural legacy?

Off the top of my head: Milton, Melville, Hemingway, Steinbeck. Sallinger...Stravinsky, Glass, Rice

The Christ figure in literature is almost a cliche.

Actually Obama does have the power to stop the seas rising and heal the earth's wounds. They're called climate change and environmental degradation. Unfortunately Republicans are squarely against those powers, because they have spent the last century or so endangering our coastal communities and preparing the Midwest to drink oil instead of water when the Keystone pipeline leaks, which it will, respectively, to take just two examples of many.

@spendius,
It will eventually die on its own accord; people will eventually realize that prayer doesn't work, and there's no god who watches over our lives.

How many prayers have saved those from natural disasters or disease?
