@H2O MAN,
Now that's what's so neat about you, h2oman, you operate so far outside the range of truth that it's likely that you never be tarnished by the same.

How low are they now?

41%

The current 41% approval rating from April 12-14 polling includes interviews conducted before and after Obama announced his plan for deficit reduction on Wednesday. It also comes in the same week Congress is voting on the 2011 budget deal reached last Friday.

The deal did not seem to have an immediate effect on the way Americans viewed Obama, given his 44% approval rating in the three days prior to the agreement and his 46% rating in the initial days after the agreement.

The economy is likely also a factor in Obama's declining ratings. Though unemployment is improving according to government estimates, the economic recovery remains slow and is being challenged by rising fuel prices. Presidents' approval ratings have historically suffered in times of high gas prices.

The current three-day average finds 50% of Americans disapproving of Obama, two percentage points below his high disapproval rating of 52% from Aug. 15-17 and Aug. 16-18, 2010, polling.

George W. Bush's 2001-2009 Term Average: 49% his lowest was 25% right before his exit.

The low number was well earned because he helped Obama start his massive spending spree that continues today.

@H2O MAN,
How does Obama's approval rating (41%) stack up against Carter, Reagan, GWBush and Clinton after 2 years into their 1st terms?

I don't have those numbers, but all 4 former presidents were clearly better
at being president than the current assclown we get to replace 2012.

Since he's no surprise or contributes anything of value, he's on my Ignore list.

Will somebody let me know when he graduates from youth to adulthood?

What source do you invent your figures from, H2 Oboy? Even Rasmussen, whose methodology inevitably tilts their figuresRepublicn has his approval rating at 48%, not your 41%. Nice try, no donut.

I would say the simple fact is that Obama is a black man and you are a racist. Scream he is a socialist all you want, it will not hide the fact that he is a politically centrist capitalist.

There is no OBJECTIVE PROOF that ANY president is better than any other.

Furthermore, presidents operate in so many areas -- domestic policy, infrastructure, foreign relations, war -- that one might have greater skills/interest/knowledge of a singe area and be weaker in others.

Finally -- with apologies to John Donne -- no president is an island. A president has a cabinet (which he selects, but, even a person selected by a president may turn against said president) and a Congress and a Supreme Court which is the capstone of a judicial system and a military and the general public as well as agencies staffed with thousands of people.

Why don't you read some books on government and the economy and only return when you are capable of writing a reasoned and supported post?
