@okie,
okie, I know you don't remember history, but GW Bush started two wars, is guilty of breaking both domestic and international laws, made enemies of most countries in the Middle East, and sank this country into the Great Recession.

I'm sure you love the guy, because your brain is so screwed up - like his!

Why is it the libs hate Bush so much that you guys simply cannot let go of it, and your mind has become twisted.

I'm quite sure you would prefer that we all forget him, but guess what? Nobody has. The man was a disaster and he is emblematic of the low point your party has descended to.

You and other Republicans go on about Clinton and hell, even CARTER all the time - yet you want a guy who is barely out of office to be off limits? Fat chance!

YOU promoted the ******* idiot, YOU defended him and his policies, now YOU get to own the mess that he made. Simple as that.

@Cycloptichorn,
I think everyone is missing something.
I dont care if you raise everyones taxes to 99%, it will mean nothing if the govt doesnt control spending.
Unfortunately, our govt has a history of spending more then they take in, no matter how much they bring in.

So unless and until the govt reins in spending, on everything, all of the revenue increases in the world will mean nothing.
And since Obama promised to eliminate ALL income taxes on senior citizens making less then $50,000, how is that money going to be made up?
Or is he going to break that promise?

Heres something interesting, from that bastion of honesty and fair reporting, NPR.
It seems that the Obama economic po;icies actually do favor minorities.
I thought his policies were supposed to help everyone?

Where does the story say it only helped minorities? It says the programs ALSO helped minorities instead of leaving them out including some directed toward minorities. His policies DO help everyone according to this story.

@H2O MAN,
Really? Why did I make more after taxes this year than last year? It probably was due to the Obama tax cut.

You do know Obama and the Dems cut taxes, don't you squirt? Are you saying you don't want tax cuts because they don't help you?

Yes parasite, really.

Obama's so-called tax cut is a scam and only those that drink the blue Kool-Aid believe it's real.

I guess you are saying you don't want tax cuts.

You apparently didnt read the article very well, did you?

So if NPR says that he aimed programs specificly at one race, I have to assume its true.
After all, NPR is totally unbiased and is completely honest.
BTW, if those programs were designed mainly for whites, wouldnt that be considered racist?

And here is the entire series of articles...

@mysteryman,
The article states this MM

Quote:
If most everyone is ignorant about what the president has done for literally all taxpaying Americans, it follows that even more people won’t have heard about what Obama has done for minority communities. His successes in that area are rarely touted in the mainstream media. Senator Obama was heckled on the campaign trail for a supposed indifference to the rights of the black community, and some African Americans have called President Obama a disappointment. While much of the criticism is valid, some of it seems to ignore the policy realities of the past 20 months.

@parados,
You missed my point entirely, or maybe I wasnt clear in making it.

If there had been policies enacted by Bush, designed only to help white people, you would have immediately called those programs racist, and you would have been totally correct.

Now, since Obama is supposed to be the President of the entire country, it just seems to me that enacting programs designed only to help one group is counterproductive, and has racial implications to it that shouldnt be there.
If it would have been racist if Bush had done it, shouldnt it also be racist if Obama, or any other President, does it?

@mysteryman,
You're creating a straw man. Nobody is arguing that Bush would have been called racist for implementing programs that are designed to help white folks.

The point of helping out minority communities is that the communities are fucked, MM. You understand that, right? Crushing generational poverty with little social pressure to make the changes that are necessary to end it, calls for measures to specifically combat it. It's not a matter of Race as much as it is culture.

Why is it you have to do stuff like this? You run across a news story on a right-wing website and come here to post about it, without thinking about it in depth.
