Well, let's see, on the side, I am reading Hamlet for a project in which I am engaged. i am also reading Spenser's The Faerie Queen but, like many works of that era, it is not something one slogs through without relief. I will read the rest of Shakespeare.
I am teaching two rounds of intermediate writing in the fall and will use the same text I used for the last two semesters but I will "audition" another book to replace the one I have been using as I believe teachers should switch texts. I am also reading the texts I selected for my single section of 101.
A member of this forum sent a book to me, a contemporary novel, and I will read that as soon as finals are over next week. I was wait-listed for an NEH grant. If I receive it, I will immerse myself in the Transcendentalists for a week of sheer pleasure. I have always loved the Transcendentalists.
