I am stunned. There is no way to respond to the master Financial Advisor, who may well be the only Financial Advisor in the Western World who doesn't want to make money since I am sure he would never want to appear to be (gasp) greedy.

Cyclopitchorn offers rebuttals which are devastating and conclusive--Note his answer to Ican:

@Cycloptichorn,
Odem malign those with whom they disagree when they cannot make a credible argument to support what they believe.
Here's some more evidence:

There was no lie. This was published information. But this is a great number when you compare it to Bush's last year when we were losing about 750,000 per month?

@ican711nm,
Ican- Thanks. Now, you will note that Cyclopitchorn will not respond to any of my posts. He has done that before. I really think that he cannot rebut my arguments so he does not even try. I will, of course, comment on any of his posts and welcome your own take on my response to him, Perhaps together and with some more input from others, we can show how moribund and ridiculous most of his left wing positions are when subjected to the light of truth.

@Advocate,
Really? Bush was the worst? Which Ranking by Presidential Historians did you
reference? Why don't you do some research instead of mouthing idiotic left wing falsehoods? Bush's current ranking may be low but he is not the worst. You don't know what you are talking about. Rankings change as time go on and as more Presidential Papers are made available to scholars. At this time, Bush is ranked as 36th, NOT THE WORST. You probably are not aware that Clinton was ranked as 20th and is now ranked as 15th and that Reagan is ranked as 10th best.

Do some research!!!

How can you say that with such assurance? You had to be somewhere around 10 when it happened, too young to be politically aware, and, as your posts here demonstrate, you are not a student of history.

Besides, even if most Americans "despised" (I would think that the proper word would be "feared," as loose cannons in Congress and the media whipped up a frenzy akin to that loosed on the world by Chicken Little) Communists or, perhaps, communists, that was no reason to police Viet Nam.

Well, I can say it with assurance because I was more politically aware than you think. I can remember reading a comic book or two that depicted soldiers fighting commies or communists, and I don't think it was that unusual or rare of a comic book or books. I also believe both Democrats and Republicans were very anti-communist, as was the general population in this country. Not so anymore, in fact many liberals now freely admit a romantic or warm feeling or attachment to ultra leftists and communists. And the "Domino Theory" was not a theory held by only a handful of people or politicians.

Quote:
Viet Nam has become quite Americanized. City kids dye their hair brown or blonde, ride motorbikes and listen to dreadful pop music.

Contrary to what has been portrayed and put out there by the popular press, we may not have actually lost the war. Although the communists apparently won, the longterm effects from Vietnam's exposure to American troops may be bringing about a victory for freedom and a rejection of communism. The young children that the GIs talked to and gave gifts to are now adults and may be exerting more influence upon the country. It will probably take yet more time to see what plays out long term in Vietnam and the total long term effects of the war. Every human being yearns for freedom, and the young people of Vietnam tasted and saw a sampling of free people when they came into contact with the American GIs, and they have likely not forgotten it.

This just gets better and better.
Now we have a democrat congressman physically assaulting a college student on the streets of DC, simply because that student dared to ask a question.

Bob Ethridge must really make the dems proud.

Wanna bet this isnt reported by the media?
Of course, if it had been a repub or a conservative doing it this would have been the lead story on all of the news networks.

@mysteryman,
That's an assault?

I would call it some interesting editing so we can't see everything that happened prior to the congressman demanding to know who the people were that were shoving cameras in his face.

I also find it interesting that the people taking the video blur out their faces and never say who they are. If someone did that to a Republican what would your response be MM?

@H2O MAN,
The stupidity on the right is about the same as always squirt. The problem is you guys are more willing to show how stupid you can be these days. More and more people are seeing how idiotic conservatives are in their rhetoric compared to their actions.

If only there had been more regulation? Or are you against all regulation squirt? Which is it for conservatives these days?

@parados,
Anytime you put your hands on somebody else without permission, thats assault.
And when the Congressman refused to release the young mans arm after he was asked several times, thats assault.

As for the young man blurring his face, since he wasnt the story I have no problem with it.
And if the same thing was done to a repub, I would still have no problem with it.

You call it "interesting editing".
How do you know it was edited?
What proof do you have of that?

The only person that has even suggested it was edited at all is Chris Mathews, so you must have heard it from him.

@mysteryman,
ROFLMAO.. MM..

And.. did you see the part of the video where the kids shoved a camera in the congressman's face? Oh.. they cut that part out I guess because they didn't want to be the ones accused of assault.

If someone shoves a camera in your face to the point where it is 2 inches away, what will be your response? I know I would respond in a much more violent way than the congressman did and no court in the country would convict me of assault.

How do I know it was edited? Well.. I don't think anyone was holding up big red signs with lettering on them during the confrontation, do you?

How the right loves to distort. First, the so-called student was not acting as a student. He approached Etheridge in a suit, carrying a mic, asking a political question, having someone tape the approach, and being clearly a nonjournalist political operative. The congressman properly asked who he really was, but went a bit too far in grabbing the guy.
