Here is more evidence that the Odem (i.e., Obamademocrats) are lying thieving gangsters working to reduce our Liberty, our Constitutional Government, and our Capitalist Economy.

We shall lawfully remove the Odem from our federal government.

Quote:

From the Desk of Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton:

Elena Kagan " An Inexperienced Liberal

President Obama's nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court is irresponsible. Ms. Kagan is a liberal activist and political operative with no experience as judge. A Supreme Court nominee ought to have significant practical experience as a lawyer or a judge.

Her biography includes work for the campaigns of ardent liberals Elizabeth Holtzman (a radical feminist in New York) and Michael Dukakis. She practiced law a total of 3 years, one of them for the Clinton White House. She also clerked for the late Thurgood Marshall, one of the most liberal Supreme Court members in recent history. The rest of her career was spent working as a domestic policy aide in the Clinton White House and in academia, where she became the first female dean of Harvard Law School. So three years (barely four, if you include her on-the-job training as United States Solicitor General) of practical legal experience and a few years clerking in the federal courts…which is too little experience for the High Court.

Frankly, the fact that she continued to work in the Clinton White House after it became clear that President Clinton lied under oath raises questions about her ethical judgment. I know that it is not politically correct here in Washington to remind folks that Bill Clinton abused his office and lied under oath, but Judicial Watch believes that lawyers like Kagan who happily worked for him despite his misconduct in office need to be held to account as to why they continued to work for the impeached Clinton despite his contempt for the rule of law.

Her decision to throw military recruiters off the campus of Harvard Law School during a time of war shows she is far to the left of mainstream America. Kagan was in violation of the law know as the Solomon Amendment in doing so and only let in the military recruiters when the Department of Defense told the school it would withhold federal funds. Kagan sought to have the Solomon Amendment overturned, but the Supreme Court knocked her effort down 8-0. Not even leftists on the Court, including Justice Stevens (who Kagan is seeking to replace), agreed with her radical effort to force the federal government to fund colleges who ban military recruiters from campus. It is a sight to see the Obama crowd spin Kagan’s ban on military recruiters because the military follow ed “the don’t ask, don’t tell” law passed by Congress and signed into law by President Clinton as “pro-military.” Talk about out-of-touch!

Obama, the great promoter of openness and full disclosure, apparently is one of the most mysterious figures ever to become president in this country.

http://www.westernjournalism.com/?page_id=3255

"The Mystery of Barack Obama Continues

Researchers have discovered that Obama’s autobiographical books are little more than PR stunts, as they have little to do with the actual events of his life. The fact is we know less about President Obama than perhaps any other president in American history and much of this is due to actual efforts to hide his record. This should concern all Americans.

A nation-wide network of researchers has sprung up to attempt to fill in the blanks, but at every opportunity Obama’s high-priced lawyers have built walls around various records or simply made them disappear. It is estimated that Obama’s legal team has now spent well over $1.4 million dollars blocking access to documents every American should have access to. The question is why would he spend so much money to do this?

The president who campaigned for a more “open government” and “full disclosure” will not unseal his medical records, his school records, his birth records or his passport records. He will not release his Harvard records, his Columbia College records, or his Occidental College records"he will not even release his Columbia College thesis. All his legislative records from the Illinois State Senate are missing and he claims his scheduling records during those State Senate years are lost as well. In addition, no one can find his school records for the elite K-12 college prep school, Punahou School, he attended in Hawaii.

What is he hiding? Well, for starters, some of these records will shed light on his citizenship and birth.

Pictured: “Scott & Barry, 3rd grade 1969” Punahou School in Hawaii.
For example, Obama’s application to Punahou School " now mysteriously missing " would likely contain a birth certificate. And, according to attorney Gary Kreep, “his Occidental College records are important as they may show he attended there as a foreign exchange student.” Indeed, Obama used his Indonesian name “Barry Soetoro” while attending Occidental. Kreep has filed lawsuits challenging Obama’s eligibility to be president and as part of his lawsuit he requested Obama’s records from Occidental. However, Obama’s lawyers quickly moved to stop Occidental from honoring this request."

This isnt about Obama, but here we have a dem talking about his vietnam service.
Guess what, he NEVER went to vietnam, and he NEVER left the US while in the Marine Reserve.

Now, since the dems blasted Bush, are they gonna blast this guy also?

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/18/nyregion/18blumenthal.html

Quote:
At a ceremony honoring veterans and senior citizens who sent presents to soldiers overseas, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut rose and spoke of an earlier time in his life.

“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam,” Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. “And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it " Afghanistan or Iraq " we owe our military men and women unconditional support.”

There was one problem: Mr. Blumenthal, a Democrat now running for the United States Senate, never served in Vietnam. He obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records.

The deferments allowed Mr. Blumenthal to complete his studies at Harvard; pursue a graduate fellowship in England; serve as a special assistant to The Washington Post’s publisher, Katharine Graham; and ultimately take a job in the Nixon White House.

In 1970, with his last deferment in jeopardy, he landed a coveted spot in the Marine Reserve, which virtually guaranteed that he would not be sent to Vietnam. He joined a unit in Washington that conducted drills and other exercises and focused on local projects, like fixing a campground and organizing a Toys for Tots drive.

Now I dont care if he ever went to Vietnam or not, but to lie about something like that, when it can be so easily checked, makes me wonder how this guy would be if he actually was elected.

And IMHO, by claiming to have served when he didnt, he doesnt deserve to be elected dogcatcher, let alone a US senator.

Costly IRS Mandate Slipped into Health Bill
Posted by Chris Edwards

Most people know about the individual mandate in the new health care bill, but the bill contained another mandate that could be far more costly.

A few wording changes to the tax code’s section 6041 regarding 1099 reporting were slipped into the 2000-page health legislation. The changes will force millions of businesses to issue hundreds of millions, perhaps billions, of additional IRS Form 1099s every year. It appears to be a costly, anti-business nightmare.

Under current law, businesses are required to issue 1099s in a limited set of situations, such as when paying outside consultants. The health care bill includes a vast expansion in this information reporting requirement in an attempt to raise revenue for an increasingly rapacious Congress.

In a recent summary, tax information firm RIA notes the types of transactions covered by the new 1099 rules:

The 2010 Health Care Act adds “amounts in consideration for property” (Code Sec. 6041(a) as amended by 2010 Health Care Act §9006(b)(1)) and “gross proceeds” (Code Sec. 6041(a) as amended by 2010 Health Care Act §9006(b)(2)) to the pre-2010 Health Care Act categories of payments for which an information return to IRS will be required if the $600 aggregate payment threshold is met in a tax year for any one payee. Thus, Congress says that for payments made after 2011, the term “payments” includes gross proceeds paid in consideration for property or services.

Basically, businesses will have to issue 1099s whenever they do more than $600 of business with another entity in a year. For the $14 trillion U.S. economy, that’s a hell of a lot of 1099s. When a business buys a $1,000 used car, it will have to gather information on the seller and mail 1099s to the seller and the IRS. When a small shop owner pays her rent, she will have to send a 1099 to the landlord and IRS. Recipients of the vast flood of these forms will have to match them with existing accounting records. There will be huge numbers of errors and mismatches, which will probably generate many costly battles with the IRS.

Tax CPA Chris Hesse of LeMaster Daniels tells me:

Under the health legislation, the IRS could be receiving billions of more documents. Under current law, businesses send Forms 1099 for payments of rent, interest, dividends, and non-employee services when such payments are to entities other than corporations. Under the new law, businesses will be required to send a 1099 to other businesses for virtually all purchases. And for the first time, 1099s are to be sent to corporations. This is a huge new imposition on American business, costing the private economy much more than any additional tax that the IRS might collect as a result.

There appears to have been little discussion before this damaging mandate was slipped into the health bill and rammed through Congress, but a few business groups did raise concerns. Here’s what the Air Conditioner Contractors of America said:

The House bill would extend the Form 1099 filing requirement to ALL vendors (including corporate) to which they pay more than $600 annually for services or property. Consider all the payments a small business makes in the course of business, paying for things such as computers, software, office supplies, and fuel to services, including janitorial services, coffee services, and package delivery services.

In order to file all these 1099s, you’ll need to collect the necessary information from all your service providers. In order to comply with the law, you would have to get a Taxpayer Information Number or TIN from the business. If the vendor does not supply you with a TIN, you are obligated to withhold on your payments.

Private transactions are the core of a market economy, and the source of America’s growth and prosperity. Now the federal government is imposing a vast new web of red tape on perhaps billions of these growth-generating private exchanges.

For what purpose? So the spendthrift Congress can shake a few extra bucks out of private industry? The business sector is the generator of America’s high living standards, but most federal legislators just see it as a kitty to be raided or a cow to be milked dry.

I’m stunned that there wasn’t a broader debate before such a costly mandate was enacted. If it goes into effect, it will waste vast quantities of human effort in filling out forms, reworking computer systems, collecting and organizing data, and fighting the IRS. The struggling American economy can’t afford anymore suffocating tax regulations. This mandate is a giant deadweight loss. It should be repealed.

@H2O MAN,
not a big fan of the mandate, but not worried either, why are folks scared to offer an opposing view to their argument, are conservatives (or liberals) afraid that if someone hears the opposing point of view they will switch sides, it might also work to cement your beliefs, plus you'd have direct access to other folks sites so you can leave comments like, "you guys are all cocks, you leader wants to make us all 'fearful' or 'socialist'", and that could be very entertaining indeed

Obama's FCC ObamaZombies want to take control over the Internet.

"The sites of one point of view agree to provide links to other sites, so that if you are reading a conservative magazine they would provide a link to a liberal site, and vice versa, just to make it easy for people to get access to competing views; or maybe a pop up on your screen that would show an advertisement or maybe even a quick argument for a competing view. If we could get voluntary arrangements in that direction it would be great, and if we can't get voluntary arrangements maybe congress should hold hearings about mandates."

"One person has suggested we might take the 25 most popular sites in the last month say .. of any kind .. and require them to have kind of a random draw of links to other sites that are political. And it would be random so that if, let's say, one of the most popular sites is CNN.com then they would have to have a little link to one or more of the randomly selected sites. The best would be for this to be done voluntarily, but the word voluntary is a little complicated and sometimes people don't do what's best for our society unless congress holds hearings or unless the public demands it, and the idea would be to have a legal mandate as a last resort, and to make sure it's neutral as possible if we have to get there - but to have that as an ultimate weapon designed to encourage people to do better."

POM, you are incorrect once again... the website is called "Tripps Take" or something similar.

Obama regards the United States of America with abomination.
The hate you speak of is Obama's hate for this constitutional republic a.k.a. the United States of America.

The hate speak you hear and see today is a direct result of Obama's plan to divide this country... his plan is currently working...
the dumbmasses are following Obama as he takes this nation in the wrong direction...
following this Marxists to the creation of the Obama Nation.

A fundamental CHANGE that will completely replace the nation formerly known as the United States of America - USA.

My hope is that more and more American's set aside their particular party loyalties... wake up... and see the Audacity of Obama.
