Not to mention the fact that Obama's "bumbling" has "bumbled" us back into a growing economy. Which Bush couldn't do. Which conservative economics didn't do. You lose, H2 Oboy.

THE DIVIDEND TAX BILL ARRIVES
As the big tax increase day of January 1, 2011 approaches, the Democrats running Congress are beginning to lay out their priorities. Get ready for bigger rate increases than previously advertised, says the Wall Street Journal.

Consider:
• Last week the Senate Budget Committee passed a fiscal 2011 budget resolution that includes an increase in the top tax rate on dividends to 39.6 percent from the current 15 percent -- a 164 percent increase.
• This blows past the 20 percent rate that President Obama proposed in his 2011 budget and which his economic advisers promised in 2008.
And that's only for starters, says the Journal:
• The recent health care bill includes a 3.8 percent surcharge on all investment income, including dividends, beginning in 2013.
• This would nearly triple the top dividend rate to 43.4 percent in Obama's four years as President.
The driving impulse here is money, says the Journal:
• According to the static revenue estimation rules that Congress lives by, maintaining the current 15 percent tax rate on capital gains and dividends will "cost" the government $347.7 billion over 10 years.
• The Congressional Budget Office hasn't broken out how much the higher 39.6 percent dividend rate alone would yield in revenue, but a reasonable guess is $200 billion.

Congress simply wants that cash, says the Journal.

With every week that passes, we learn more about ObamaCare and it just gets worse. The recent report on the practical effects of ObamaCare from the Chief Actuary of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) is devastating.
Here are the salient findings of this report:
• Health care costs will go up, not down. National health expenditures will increase from 17 percent of GDP now to 21 percent under the new law and will be higher than without the legislation. Net federal spending on health care will also increase.
• Health care shortages are "plausible and even probable." Because of the increased demand for health care, "supply constraints might initially interfere with providing the services desired by the additional 34 million insured persons."
• 14 million employees will lose their employer coverage. Employees of small firms are especially at risk (despite small employer tax credit subsidies).
• 2 million employees who lose coverage will have to enroll in Medicaid.
• A Medicaid insurance card is not a guarantee of care. An estimated 18 million people will be added to Medicaid. However, because there is no corresponding increase in the supply of caregivers, "it is reasonable to expect that a significant portion of the increased demand for Medicaid would be difficult to meet, particularly over the first few years."
• One in ten insured workers will see their health benefits taxed. By 2019, more than 10% of insured workers will "be in employer plans with benefit values in excess of the thresholds (before changes to reduce benefits) and this percentage would increase rapidly thereafter."
• Higher taxes will lead to higher premiums. The new taxes on medical devices, prescription drugs, and insurance plans "would generally be passed on through to health consumers in the form of higher drug and device prices and higher insurance premiums."
• There are more than one-half trillion in Medicare cuts. The new health law cuts "$575 billion" from Medicare.
• Medicare cuts would threaten almost one in every seven hospitals. About "15 percent of Part A providers would become unprofitable within the 10-year projection period."
• Overall access to care for seniors would go down. Because of the law's payment reductions, "providers for whom Medicare constitutes a substantive portion of their business could find it difficult to remain profitable and, absent legislative intervention, might end their participation in the program.
• 7.4 million people will lose access to Medicare Advantage plans. Enrollment in MA plans will be cut in half (from its projected level of 14.8 million under the current law to 7.4 million under the new law).
• False advertising: The new "Medicare Tax" doesn't go to Medicare. "Despite the title of this tax, this provision is unrelated to Medicare; in particular, the revenues generated by the tax on unearned income are not allocated to the Medicare trust funds."
• False advertising: Budgetary double-counting does not improve Medicare's solvency. Medicare cuts "cannot be simultaneously used to finance other federal outlays (such as the coverage expansions) and to extend the [life of the Medicare] trust fund, despite the appearance of this result from the respective accounting conventions."
• The new long-term care insurance plan (CLASS Act) is unsound. The program faces "a significant risk of failure" because the high costs will attract sicker people and lead to low participation.
• The promise to those with pre-existing conditions is unfunded. "By 2011 and 2012 the initial $5 billion in Federal funding for [high risk pools] would be exhausted, resulting in substantial premium increases to sustain the program."
• The law does almost nothing to limit actual fraud and abuse. The fraud provisions in the law will save only about two percent of $47 billion in suspect claims.

There is a kernel of truth in what Okie says with regard to the left dividing people. Do you remember when diversity training was the latest thing? It pushed for the celebration of the differences between the races, ethnicity, religions, etc. I think the strength of this country has been its melting pot ethos regarding the different people. Further, the left's push for affirmative action was, for the most part, a disaster. It essentially mandated blind discrimination against white males.

And you might want to figure out why Faubus still won a plurality of the black vote in 1964, so you might want to find out why blacks still today are not voting for their civil rights, they are voting for socialism, plain and simple.

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it filed two new Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits on September 28th to obtain government records related to the activities of the controversial "community organization" Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). These lawsuits were filed against the Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) and the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).

Judicial Watch's EBSA lawsuit involves monies embezzled by Dale Rathke, the brother of ACORN founder Wade Rathke. The New York Times has reported that, overall, Dale Rathke allegedly embezzled $948,607.50 in 1999 and 2000. According to a report by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, a portion of these funds, $215,000, allegedly came in the form of a "loan." The manner in which this "loan" was handled and concealed by ACORN internally may have violated the Employee Income Retirement Security Act (ERISA).

Judicial Watch filed its original FOIA request on August 4th, but the EBSA failed to respond within the statutory allotted 20 day period. The request seeks the following records: "All records concerning the following entities' misconduct and/or violations of laws and/or policies, including but not limited to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ('ERISA'): Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now ('ACORN'), ACORN Housing, Citizen's Consulting, Inc., Citizen's Services, Inc., Communities Voting Together, Project Vote, Services Employees International Union (SEIU), SEIU Local 100, SEIU Local 880."

The CNCS, meanwhile, handles the programs and paperwork for national government grants, including funds distributed under the AmeriCorps umbrella. Judicial Watch had previously uncovered documents indicating that ACORN's sister organization (ACORN Housing) was no longer eligible for federal funds due to previous abuses involving an AmeriCorps grant. Judicial Watch filed its FOIA request on July 28th to find out more about these abuses. However the CNCS has failed to respond within the statutory allotted 20 day period. Judicial Watch seeks the following records:

All documents concerning the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), and/or ACORN Housing
All documents concerning ACORN Housing and misconduct/violation of grant stipulations.
All documents concerning [the Corporation for National & Community Service]'s investigation of ACORN Housing.
All audit reports of ACORN Housing Corporation, including but not limited to Audit Report 95-17 and Audit Report 96-21.

Over the last several weeks, the U.S. Senate has voted to deny ACORN access to housing funds, while the House of Representatives voted to deny ACORN all federal funds. The U.S. Census Bureau, meanwhile, has severed its partnership with the organization related to the 2010 U.S. Census. The IRS also just severed a program relationship with ACORN. These actions were taken after videos surfaced depicting ACORN workers attempting to advise undercover journalists on how to evade tax, immigration and child prostitution laws.

"What we have learned about ACORN in just the last few weeks has been shocking, but I suspect it is only the tip of the iceberg," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "These new FOIA lawsuits show that the Obama administration has taken a 'stonewall' approach when it comes releasing ACORN documents."

Article II section 2 of the U.S. Constitution states that:

However, President Barack Obama has been taking advantage of a recent precedent by appointing government officials who are not subject to Senate approval. This has allowed Obama to appoint several people with radical left-wing views, including one who supported the "9/11 truthers" movement (which believes the Bush administration may have been behind the 9/11 terror attacks on America) and another who called for "white people" to be removed from powerful positions in the media to make way for "people of color" and gays and voiced support for virulently anti-American Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. These czars have responsibilities that include managing America's Middle Eastern policy, "diversity," the auto industry, science, so-called climate change, "safe schools," health care and even the dispersal of funds from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

Judicial Watch is concerned that some of these czar appointments raise significant constitutional questions. Our goal is to find out exactly what these czars are up to, what their missions are, and how much taxpayer money and government personnel they have at their disposal. In that effort, Judicial Watch has filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and document requests for all 39 of the czars that Obama has appointed so far.
