You got some nerve! The televangelists on cable should be stripped of their non-profit status as a religious organization for the right-winged ideology they're "selling" on the air waves too! Who did Jerimiah Wright kill? He served his country as a uniformed soldier in the Viet Nam war and I don't hear anyone complaining about that! Viet Nam, where racism was so prevalent. You equivocate Rev. Wright with a mentally defective person? Those are grounds for libel, if you can't prove it and you can't! You should be real careful, how you compare apples and oranges. Be more focused on the "birthers" and persons carrying guns where the President is speaking. Disrespect? You don't know the meaning, you're so focused on disrespecting someone who is highly regarded by his congregation. George Wallace and Bull Conner would be proud of you!

Is having good health for all, socialism? Is having the ability to work, socialism? Was the draft socialist? Israel has a compulsory public service or military program. Is Israel a socialist country? I thought it was patriotic to serve one's country as national defense. Is that why Bush sent the National Guard instead of the regular Army? Bush was a$$-backwards anyway! Is supporting our troops a socialist concept? You make the call!

teeny, I guess I have been under a false impression all my life. I quit working. My "rights" include free health care, and probably housing, transportaniton, and food and clothing. Why work if all of those things are "rights" as guaranteed in the constitution as you seem to be promoting. After all, whats the difference between the guarantee of health care and the guarantee of food or housing? I did without them.

Good if he tried to get out, they should have let him out. I was criticizing the military for not booting him out, or if he tried to get out, I say they should have accomodated him. The only thing at issue would be what kind of discharge.

What is so amazing about that? Besides, I doubt there were any truly "indigenous peoples" here. Archeology, and even the human genome project, all indicate everyone came here from somewhere else, probably some of the first here came originally from Africa or the Middle East, then migrating through Asia before they arrived here to the Americas, where they then moved around alot before they ended up where they are now.
The only difference in us is when and how we all got here.

I also think he is immune to facts and evidence, because he can't support most of what he opines on a2k. There used to be a parlance on the use of computers called "garbage in, garbage out," but okie has never learned it. He believes his personal opinion is the final word.

The Constitution specifically grants powers to the federal government for a great many things. Those powers it does not grant to the federal government are powers reserved to the states or to the people.

By the way, "Joe the Plumber" has been a plumber employed by licensed plumbers. As such Joe, his nick name, did not require a license to do plumbing work while he was employed by a licensed plumber.

I don't know if "Joe the Plumber" was running a business at the time he chatted with Obama prior to Obama's election about Obama saying he wanted to "spread the wealth around." However, I do know he worked for licensed plumbers in the past and was at those times a plumber.
