Finn, NO matter what, a home owner should be able to enter his home without police interference. Period.

Since you haven't reached any conclusions and don't possess all the facts, why did you say this?

That is not what happened and you know it.

You don't have the facts but you know what didn't happen? I call BS on you Yankee.

@okie,
We have a rather telling fact in who was at fault. There were no charges filed.

Obama didn't accuse the cop of racism. You did.

The cop acted stupidly whether the homeowner was black, white, or green.

Arresting someone for disorderly conduct on their own property is not standard police policy. I challenge you to find me any other case of someone being arrested when they are in their home, have no warrants, and not creating a disturbance when the police arrive. I would bet you can't find any instances of it.

By the way, people are still tabulating how many lies Obama told in his press conference. Lots of stuff going on. Also, ACORN still out there, a mountain of corruption there. Its like swatting flies, there are always more and more, more problems than you can shake a stick at, with Obama.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/22/gop-congressional-report-accuses-acorn-political-corruption-widespread-fraud/

"GOP Congressional Report Accuses ACORN of Political Corruption, Widespread Fraud
House Republicans issuing a report Thursday accusing ACORN of fraudulent activities and widespread corruption, concluding a criminal investigation into the advocacy group is needed .

ACORN engaged in a scheme to use taxpayer money to support a partisan political agenda, according to a new report from Republicans on a House oversight committee.

The report, released Thursday, accuses ACORN of fraudulent activities and widespread corruption and calls for a criminal investigation into the advocacy group. It offers the first detailed account of the allegations that have dogged the organization in recent months.

ACORN, or the Association of Community Organizations for Reform, has been under constant fire from conservatives since last year for its support of Barack Obama's presidential candidacy and its planned participation in next year's 2010 census.

@okie,
okie, You keep bringing up ACORN, but you can't tell us what they did illegal.
That should be a clue to anyone who has common sense and logic.

Accusing says nothing about conviction. This also proves you have no knowledge about US law; there is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

Didn't ACORN change their name in an effort to hide their roots and their corrupt past?

I think their new name is Community Organizations International (COI)

Police union condemns Obama's 'stupidly' comments
By Sam Youngman
Posted: 07/23/09 01:58 PM [ET]
President Obama's Wednesday night criticism of Cambridge, Mass., police has drawn a rebuke from the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).

The criticism comes after Obama said Cambridge police officers acted "stupidly" when they arrested Henry Louis Gates, a friend of the president, for breaking and entering into his own home. The president said it highlights ongoing problems with race relations in the U.S.

Jim Pascoe, executive director of the FOP's legislative office, noted that before Obama made the remarks, the president acknowledged that he was only vaguely familiar with what happened.

"That being the case, it's unfortunate that he chose to say anything," Pascoe said. "He wasn't there, and he doesn't know what happened."

Pascoe said it appears that Gates was the "provocateur" because he called Officer James Crowley a racist instead of producing identification as requested.

@Yankee,
Yankee, Your little script from the police report tells me that the police was in the wrong. They didn't even listen to the man because he is black. Blacks in America has been getting the short end of the stick all their lives, and his reaction was understandable. He was in his own home! Something you apologists will try to explain it away that doesn't comply with our Constitution or laws.

@Yankee,
The police union is wrong; they just don't understand the laws of this country about search warrants, privacy, and the Bill of Rights.
