I'll vouch for that. Spendi seems to understand us Yanks better than a lot of us seem to understand ourselves.

Why is it that liberals are eager to accept what PrezBO tells them and refuse to lift a finger to research the claims for themselves?

People need a king, a savior, and man they can put on a pedestal. Obama is their man right now, so he can do no wrong, no matter how many lies, how many flub ups, or how incompetent he actually is. Government is the religion of liberals, and Obama is the figurehead of the government and their religion.

But his poll numbers have dipped considerably lately. There is hope.

He came over to me as "strange".

It seems strange because Obama does not fit the mold of past presidents. Instead of loving this country, he doesn't. He believes alot of people and probably him have gotten a raw deal. He is an angry man, you can hear it in his voice. His wife is an angry woman. He doesn't like the idea that people can succeed and make money here, except for himself of course. Remember the mantra during the campaign that it was beneath him to actually work at a job and make money, no, he went to Chicago and became a community organizer. We are supposed to admire him for that, although the community still lives in conditions as bad or worse, he is to be admired for his supposed sacrifice. What a phony, is my opinion. He doesn't like the rich. He does not like self sufficient people that don't want the government lording it over them, because he thinks he is the next king or dictator of the country. He has what I would call a "dictator complex" that is on a mission to right all the wrongs and injustices of the past, and government is the vehicle to do it. If anyone does not believe him, just listen to what he says. He is constantly apologizing and pointing out all of this of the past.

This fact about his mindset was ignored and glossed over during the campaign, but it is beginning to come into focus now. It is no coincidence that he was friends with and had as his mentor the Reverend Wright that is one angry man indeed, who railed against Jews, the rich, white men, and America. Obama covered this up well enough to win the presidency, but look out, this guy is one piece of work, probably the most dangerous president we have ever had, without much doubt in my mind now.

I like Mr. Alford's attitude about the NAACP. I love it. I posted this once, but in case anyone missed it, watch:

@hawkeye10,
Frankly, I don't care. If there was a National Association for the Advancement of White People, how far would that go? I frankly am tired of organizations purporting to represent all black people when they don't. In fact they should be called the National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Black People. It is a socialist organization bent upon furthering entitlements, thats about it.

And I think in my video above, black American Mr. Alford is also frankly tired of the NAACP, and I commend him for it. We need more Americans like him able to think on his own instead of being led around by the nose.

Face it, thats what the NAACP is. The black movements have bought into socialism. Liberal Democrats and socialists, they never saw a government handout they didn't like.

There is an alternative though if you like freedom and individual responsibility, the National Black Republicans Association. Read it, ci. Open up your closed mind.

@okie,
I don't need to read your garbage; it's only the blind, hateful, message of the "compassionate" conservatives who believes only about money.

I used to believe republicans were supposed to believe in small government, no government intrusion, and some compassion. What they have turned into are religious fanatics who wants to discriminate against gays and lesbians, control women's bodies, and rather than security, they love wars.

At least the democrats try to help their fellow human beings, and many are very wealthy people who doesn't mind paying more tax for our country.

All the republicans know what to say and do is "cut taxes," because they believe falsely that it creates jobs. They can't see the obvious in front of their eyes when Bush promised more jobs with his tax cuts, but instead created the worst job creation since the great depression. Tax cuts do not create jobs; 60% of businesses do not pay any tax. We pay the second lowest taxes as a percent of GDP of the developed countries of the world. These are facts republicans fail to recognize or see.

There's no cure for stupid.

I don't watch rap videos. Actually, makers of the videos are more than likely Obama supporters, so your theory has a disconnect there. You may need to go back to the drawing board with your theory and conclusion.

@cicerone imposter,
Spend your way out of debt. Brilliant, ci, brilliant, no wonder your state is totally bust, run by a bunch of liberals. and if you look around the country, most cities run by Democrats are in bad shape and getting worse.

Raising taxes is certainly not going to create jobs. Bush did much better than Obama so far. Government spending is certainly not going to create more jobs than it destroys. You cannot spend your way out of debt, but of course if you have enough printing presses, you can print more money, maybe you can print your way out of debt? Katie bar the door when inflation does kick in.

I watched as much of the speech as the YouTube clip showed which appeared to be most of it--two sections. The camera never panned the crowd so I couldn't read facial expressions, but the applause was subdued and relatively infrequent for an Obama speech and in short bursts--no prolonged applause. Does this mean anything or most of the applause was edited out? Can't say.

The speech struck me as a campaign stump speech to a special interest group. He did throw in a couple of lines about personal responsibility, but mostly it was how bad it was and is for them, and promising them that the government was going to see that they got a lot more financial help and how corporate America and Wall Street were going to be required to treat them right.
